Li Jiawei is a retired Chinese-born former Singaporean table tennis player, four-time Olympian and twice Olympic medalist. She trained in Beijing's famous Shichahai Sports School with Olympic medalist Zhang Yining. In 1995, she moved to Singapore and in the following year, she commenced her international career as a competitive table tennis player. She became a Singapore citizen at the age of 18 years under the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme.

These are the results of the women's singles competition, one of two events for female competitors in table tennis at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

The women's singles table tennis event was a part of the table tennis program at the 2008 Summer Olympics and took place at the Peking University Gymnasium. The tournament started on August 18 with the final on August 22.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Feng Tianwei</span> Singaporean table tennis player

Feng Tianwei is a Singaporean table tennis player. Born in Harbin, China, she permanently moved to Singapore at the age of 20 under the former Foreign Sports Talent Scheme in March 2007 and commenced her international career in competitive table tennis the following month.

Wang Hao won the title in 2009 and was therefore the defending champion. He reached the final where he met fellow Chinese player Zhang Jike.

Zhang Yining won the title in 2009 but has since retired from international table tennis.

The 2011 World Table Tennis Championships women's doubles was the 50th edition of the women's doubles championship. Guo Yue and Li Xiaoxia won the title in 2009. They successfully defended their title by defeating Ding Ning and Guo Yan in the final 11–8, 11–5, 13–11, 11–8.

The 2007 World Table Tennis Championships women's doubles was the 48th edition of the women's doubles championship. Zhang Yining and Wang Nan defeated Li Xiaoxia and Guo Yue in the final by four sets to nil, to record their third consecutive title and Wang Nan's fifth consecutive title.

The 2007 World Table Tennis Championships mixed doubles was the 49th edition of the mixed doubles championship.

The 2005 World Table Tennis Championships women's singles was the 48th edition of the women's singles championship. Zhang Yining defeated Guo Yan in the final by four sets to two, to the title.

The 2013 World Table Tennis Championships were held at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France, from May 13 to May 20, 2013. The Championships were the 52nd edition of the World Table Tennis Championships.

The women's singles table tennis event was a part of the table tennis programme at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The event took place from Saturday 28 July to Wednesday 1 August 2012 at ExCeL London. The tournament was a single elimination tournament with a third place playoff played between the two losing semi-finalists.

The 2013 World Table Tennis Championships women's doubles was the 51st edition of the women's doubles championship.

Ding Ning was the defending champion but lost in the semifinals to Li Xiaoxia. Ding Ning had won the last two World Tennis Championships, 2011 and 2012. Li went on to win the title by defeating Liu Shiwen 11–8, 4–11, 11–7, 12–10, 6–11, 13–11 in the final.

The men's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The event took place from 6 August to 11 August 2016 at Riocentro.

The 2018 Hungarian Open was the first event of the 2018 ITTF World Tour. It took place from 18–21 January in Budapest, Hungary.

The women's singles competition of the 2019 World Table Tennis Championships was held from 23 to 27 April 2019. Ding Ning was the defending champion but lost in the semifinals.

The women's singles competition of the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships was held from 23 to 29 November 2021. Liu Shiwen was the defending champion but did not compete in this year's tournament.
