The qualification event for the 2009 World Wheelchair Curling Championship took place from November 15 to 20, 2008 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event's two top finishers, Germany and China, both qualified to participate in the 2009 World Wheelchair Curling Championship.

Contents

The two qualification spots are determined as follows: After the conclusion of the round robin, the top four teams advance to the playoffs. The playoffs follow the first and second rounds of the page playoff system. In the first round, he first seed playing the second and the third seed playing the fourth. In the final round, the loser of 1 v. 2 plays the winner of 3 vs. 4 in the Second Place Game, like in the semifinal of the page playoff system. However, unlike the page playoff system, the winner of 1 vs. 2 and the loser of 3 vs. 4 do not play. The winner of 1 vs. 2 qualifies to the worlds, while the winner of the second place game also qualifies to the worlds.

The Olympic qualifying event was held from 5–10 December 2017 in Plzeň, Czech Republic. The qualification event was open to any nations that earned qualification points at the 2016 or 2017 World Curling Championships or participated at the 2014 or 2015 World Curling Championships. 2018 European Curling Championships

The 2018 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships were held from November 16 to 24 in Tallinn, Estonia. The C Division competitions were held in April in Copenhagen, Denmark.

2019 World Qualification Event

The 2019 World Qualification Event was held from January 18 to 23 at the Maniototo Curling International rink in Naseby, New Zealand. It was jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, with the New Zealand women's team taking one host berth and the Australia men's team the other.

2019 European Curling Championships

The 2019 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships was held in 2019 to qualify European curling teams for the 2020 World Curling Championships and World Qualification Event. The A and B division competitions were held from November 16 to 23 at The Olympia Rink in Helsingborg, Sweden. The C division competition was held from April 13 to 17 at the Brașov Olympic Ice Rink in Brașov, Romania.

2020 World Qualification Event

The 2020 World Qualification Event for the World Curling Championships was held from January 13 to 18 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The competition consisted of sixteen teams divided evenly into men's and women's divisions. The top two teams in the men's division qualified to compete at the 2020 World Men's Championship and similarly the top two teams in the women's division qualified to compete at the 2020 World Women's Championship. China and Russia qualified in the men's division and South Korea and Italy qualified in the women's division.

The Olympic qualification event is an international curling tournament that was held from 5–18 December 2021 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
