The Balochs of Punjab are a community of Saraiki and Punjabi-speaking Baloch tribes settled in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Garhi Shahu is a union council and historic neighbourhood in Gulberg Tehsil of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Garhi Shahu is one of Lahore's oldest residential neighbourhoods outside the Old City and is located near Lahore Junction railway station. Garhi Shahu is home to imposing government buildings like the huge Governor’s House, with colonial-era Indo-Gothic arches and Palladian colonnades, and the 1938 Punjab Assembly. Among modern buildings in te locality, the Alhamra Art Center stages drama and art exhibitions, while Al-Falah Theatre shows popular plays and comedy. Well known hip-hop artist Dawar Mahmood, better known as Mr Dawar, also hails from Garhi Shahu. The area is named after the notorious 19th-century gang leader and robber baron Shahu.

The 2016 National Football Challenge Cup or 2016 Pakistan Football Federation Cup was the 26th season of domestic cup tournament in Pakistani football. 24 teams took part in this competition from 28 January 2016 to 22 February 2016, which took place in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

The 2018 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 27th edition of domestic cup competition in Pakistan. 24 teams participated in the competition, from 21 April to 10 May 2018. The Pakistan National Challenge Cup was held in Karachi after FIFA lifted it ban. The matches took place at the KPT Stadium and the All Brothers Football Stadium, Malir.

The 2023–2024 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 30th edition of domestic cup competition in Pakistan. 27 departmental teams participated in the competition, from 24 January 2023 until 12 May 2024. The cup featured 27 departmental teams across the country vying for the title, which was defended by 2020 champions WAPDA.
