The 2013 Renault UK Clio Cup [1] is a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in a Clio Renault Sport 200 that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. 2013 will be the final season for the current car. [1] It forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece.

One-Design is a racing method which may be adopted in sports which use complex equipment, whereby all vehicles, gliders or boats have identical or very similar designs or models. In motor racing, it is also known as Spec series, and one-make racing.

Motorsport events which primarily involve the use of motorized vehicles

Motorsport or motor sport is a global term used to encompass the group of competitive sporting events which primarily involve the use of motorised vehicles, whether for racing or non-racing competition. The terminology can also be used to describe forms of competition of two-wheeled motorised vehicles under the banner of motorcycle racing, and includes off-road racing such as motocross.

This season will be the 18th Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season. The season will commence on 31 March at Brands Hatch  – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and will conclude on 13 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after sixteen races to be held at eight meetings, all in support of the 2013 British Touring Car Championship.

The Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom is an entry level One-make, Touring car racing motor sport category and the current name in the long history of Renault one-make cups in the UK. It currently attracts drivers from across the United Kingdom to compete along with several drivers for European countries. The championship has been run to various regulations over the years, and can trace its history back to 1974. Several former drivers have become successful in other Touring car racing formulae, including Andy Priaulx, who went on to become multiple World Touring Car Championship champion and Jason Plato who is multiple British Touring Car Championship champion. The championship currently runs on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. The current series promoter is the British Automobile Racing Club, after previously being the promoter from 1974 to 2011. Prior to this, SRO promoted the series in 2012.

Brands Hatch race track

Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England. First used as a grasstrack motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events. The venue is owned and operated by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation.

Championship changes

After a single year with the SRO as series promoter in 2012, the championship is returning to the hands of the British Automobile Racing Club with Simon North making a return to the role of Championship Manager. A post he held between 1992 and 2011. [1] Further changes include a switch to Dunlop Tyres for the 2013 season, after several years using Michelin rubber. [1]

Stéphane Ratel Organisation Auto racing promoting company

The Stéphane Ratel Organisation is a motorsport organization founded by French driver Stéphane Ratel in 1995. Based in London, the company is involved in the promotion, support, and organization of various national and international auto racing series around the world. The group is backed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), who provide the regulations for all international and most national SRO series. Local regulatory bodies also assist the SRO, such as the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) and Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB).


The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) is one of biggest organising clubs for auto racing in the United Kingdom.

Dunlop Tyres tire manufacturer

Dunlop is a brand of tyres owned by various companies around the world. Founded by pneumatic tyre pioneer John Boyd Dunlop in Birmingham, England in 1889, it is owned and operated by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. In India, the brand is owned by Dunlop India Ltd. whose parent company is the Ruia Group. In several other Asian countries, Africa and Latin America it is operated by Sumitomo Rubber Industries.

The Protyre 2011 Formula Renault BARC season was the 17th Formula Renault BARC Championship. The season began at Donington Park on 23 April and ended on 16 October at Silverstone, after twelve rounds held in England.

Scuderia Vittoria

Scuderia Vittoria is a British motor racing team. The team was formed in late 2010 and is the brainchild of ex-BTCC racers Tom Ferrier and Danny Buxton along with multiple GT and single-seater championship team manager, Piers Masarati. The Middlesex based team ran a Ferrari 458 GT3 and a Ginetta G50 GT4 car in the 2011 British GT season. They also fielded up to 4 Renault Clio's in the UK Renault Clio Cup series.

Jack Goff is a British auto racing driver. He was the 2012 Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom champion. He made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship on 31 March 2013 at Brands Hatch, driving for RCIB Insurance Racing. The 2017 and 2018 British Touring Car Championship seasons saw Jack driving for Eurotech Racing in a Honda Civic Type R. In 2019, Jack will be racing for Team HARD, after a last minute deal saw him replace Mike Bushell.

2014 British Touring Car Championship

The 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for production-based touring cars held across England and Scotland. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded amateur drivers competing in highly modified versions of Family cars which are sold to the general public and conform to the technical regulations for the championship. It is one of the most popular domestic motor racing series in the United Kingdom, with an extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. It was the 57th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season.


The 2015 Renault UK Clio Cup is a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England and one event in Scotland. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in the Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. It forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC. It will be the 20th Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season and the 40th of UK motorsport undertaken by Renault and Renault Sport. The first race takes place on 5 April at Brands Hatch on the circuit's Indy configuration and concluded on 11 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after eighteen races held at nine meetings.

Josh Files

Joshua Luke Files is a British racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom and Eurocup Clio amongst others. Files won both championships in 2013.

The 2016 Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship was a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England and Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, aged between 14 and 17, competing in Ginetta G40s that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the British Touring Car Championship centrepiece. It was the tenth Ginetta Junior Championship, and commenced on 2 April at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concluded on 2 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after twenty five races held at ten meetings, all in support of the 2016 British Touring Car Championship season.

Ashley Sutton

Ashley Sutton is a British racing driver, who currently competes in the British Touring Car Championship with Adrian Flux Subaru Racing.

Michael Epps is a British/New Zealand racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championshipin 2016 and 2017 for Team Hard. Due to budget issues, Michael was unable to continue in the series and raced the supporting Clio Cup in 2018 and Ginetta GT50 in 2019.

Mark Howard is a British racing driver who competing in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016, after winning the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Masters title in 2015.

Team BKR

Team BKR is a British auto racing team formed in 2010 as Bubble & Kick Racing and based in Basildon, Essex. The team raced in the British Touring Car Championship, in 2016.

Anthony Whorton-Eales is a British racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 46 Ford Mustang for Marko Stipp Motorsport AmD Tuning. He previously won the Mini Challenge UK championship in 2018 and the Renault Clio Cup UK championship in 2016.

The 2019 Renault UK Clio Cup is a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in the Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. Organised by the British Automobile Racing Club, it forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the British Touring Car Championship. It will be the 24th and final Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season and the 44th of UK motorsport undertaken by Renault and Renault Sport.
