The 2014-15 Kuwaiti Premier League season was the 53rd season of the Kuwait Premier League, Kuwait's highest football league. The season saw 14 teams compete, with Kuwait SC being crowned as champions with an undefeated 20-6-0 record. Patrick Fabiano led the league with 22 goals.

The Kuwait Premier League known as VIVA Premier League due to sponsorship reasons is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. It was created in 1961. Qadsia holds the best record in the competition, having won 17 times.

Kuwait Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti professional football and basketball club based in Kuwait City. The football team has won the Kuwaiti Premier League 15 times, with the most recent one coming in 2018–19. Kuwait SC also have 47 trophies to their name in Kuwaiti Club Football history. Kuwait SC plays in the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium, in Kaifan, which is the 5th largest stadium in Kuwait. Kuwait SC is the first Kuwaiti club to ever win an Asian title that is, the AFC Cup in 2009, 2012, 2013. Kuwait SC is also one of the first sports club to have been established in Kuwait .

Patrick Fabiano Alves Nóbrega Luz, commonly known as Patrick Fabiano, is a Brazilian footballer who plays striker for CSA.

As the top two teams, Kuwait SC and Al-Arabi SC both qualified for the 2016 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup, an international association football competition between domestic Asian clubs. However, the teams were unable to participate due to the Kuwait Football Association's suspension by FIFA on 16 October 2015.^[1] The ban was not lifted until 6 December 2017.

Al-Arabi Sporting Club is a Kuwaiti professional club based in Mansuriya, Kuwait City, that sponsors a number of teams, the most notable of which is the football team in the VIVA Premier League. Al-Arabi SC was named Al-Uruba at the beginning of 1953, and changed to Al-Arabi SC in 1960. As winners of the Kuwait Emir Cup in 2008, Al-Arabi SC was the first Kuwaiti team to compete in the AFC Cup. Al-Arabi SC has 57 official trophies next to its name, the most of any Kuwaiti football team. Al-Arabi SC's stadium is Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in Mansūriya, a suburb of the capital of the country, Kuwait City. It is the second largest stadium in Kuwait. Al-Arabi has never won any league title since the 2001–02 season. It had the same points as Kuwait SC in 2014–15 season, but the title went to Kuwait by the principle of the results of the matches between the two team. Al-Arabi SC is the only team in Kuwait that has never lost in the Kuwait Super Cup. Holding both records to be in the final of the Kuwait Crown Prince Cup 4 consecutive times tied with Kuwait SC and in Kuwait Emir Cup going to the final 11 consecutive times since 1962 to 1973, more than any Kuwaiti team.

The 2016 AFC Cup was the 13th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
