The 2014 United Football League was the fifth season of the UFL since its establishment as a semi-professional league in 2009. The UFL League kicked off on Saturday, January 11 with 9 teams in Division I and 12 teams in Division II. [1]

Contents

Stallion was the defending champion, having won the Division 1 of the 2013 United Football League season. [2]

Global outclassed Pachanga Diliman 7-2 on 12 June 2014 to win the 2014 United Football League title with three games to spare. [3]

Teams

The relegated Philippine Air Force from 2013 UFL Division 1 [4] was replaced by Team Socceroo as the champion of 2013 UFL Division 2. [5] The Manila Nomads voluntarily stepped down from Division I and played in Division II for this season citing its inability to comply with Division I's Foreigner Cap rule, which dictates that there should be a minimum of six Filipino players on the pitch at all times. Manila Jeepney and Ceres made their debuts i the league's Division II. [6] In this season, the Division I played a triple round-robin system, increasing games from 18 to 24.

Global FC won their first Division 1 league title on goal difference against runners-up Kaya, after a 1–1 draw with third-placers Loyola Meralco Sparks on 26 June 2012. United City Football Club is a Filipino professional football club based in New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac, that competes in Philippines Football League (PFL), the top-tier league of football in the Philippines. The 2013 season is Global's 3rd season in the Philippines premier league, the UFL Division 1. They reached the quarterfinals of the 2013 PFF National Men's Club Championship after they lost to Ceres. They played in the 2013 AFC President's Cup after they top the previously concluded 2012 season, however they were eliminated after finishing third in Group B. Global also competed in the 2013 Singapore Cup, winning the last three matches, which booked them to the semifinals. Likewise, they will also compete in the 2013 UFL Cup.

The 2015 United Football League was the sixth season of the UFL since its establishment as a semi-professional league in 2009. Ten teams competed in UFL Division 1 while seven teams were in Division 2.

The United Football League Football Alliance Charity Cup was a Filipino association football competition. It was played on a knockout stage. The only edition served as the last competition for the 2013–14 United Football League season which was participated by the top 6 clubs of UFL Division 1.

The United Football League Division 2, often referred to as UFL Division 2 or UFL 2, was the second-tier association football league in the Philippines. During its existence, it is the second-highest division of football in the Philippines after UFL Division 1. Each year, the winner of the league gets an automatic promotion to the latter. The second placer, on the other hand, goes against the ninth placer of the first division in a two-legged playoff.

The United Football League FA League Cup, commonly known as UFL FA League Cup, was a Filipino association football competition. It was played on a multistage format that culminates in a knockout stage. Clubs that were eligible to compete for the cup were those who then played in the United Football League's two divisions. The only edition of this tournament was part of the 2014–15 United Football League season, preceding the league proper and the ULF Cup, the pre-existing and separate cup tournament.

The 2016 United Football League was the seventh and last season of the UFL since its establishment as a semi-professional league in 2009. Division 2 is disbanded for this season with all teams competing in one division.
