Marc David Polmans is a South African-born Australian professional tennis player. Polmans has a career high ATP singles ranking of World No. 116 achieved on 12 October 2020. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of World No. 68 achieved on 16 October 2017. He won the 2015 Australian Open boys' doubles title with fellow Australian Jake Delaney, defeating Hubert Hurkacz and Alex Molčan in the final. He reached the semifinal of the 2017 Australian Open doubles with Andrew Whittington.

Defending champion Barbora Krejčíková and her partner Nikola Mektić defeated Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jamie Murray in the final, 5–7, 6–4, [10–1] to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2020 Australian Open.
First seed Alexander Zverev won the tournament, defeating third seed Félix Auger-Aliassime 6–3, 6–3 in the final. This was the first edition of the tournament, primarily organised due to the cancellation of many tournaments in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ivan Dodig and Filip Polášek defeated the defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. With the win, Dodig and Polášek claimed their first Grand Slam title as a team. The victory earned Polášek his first major title, and made him the second Slovak to win one after Daniela Hantuchová.
Daniil Medvedev defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the final, 6–4, 6–7(4–7), 6–4 to capture the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Open 13 Provence.
Aslan Karatsev won his first ATP Tour singles title, defeating Lloyd Harris in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Dubai Tennis Championships. Karatsev became the second wildcard in the tournament's history to win the men's singles title. Harris was the first qualifier to reach the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Nikola Milojević was the defending champion but lost in the second round to Tomáš Macháč.
Kristina Mladenovic and Ivan Dodig defeated Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2022 Australian Open. Though it was their first major title as a team, the win earned Mladenovic her third Mixed doubles title and Dodig his fourth.
Andrey Rublev defeated Jiří Veselý in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was Rublev's tenth career singles title. Veselý entered the tournament ranked as the world No. 123, and was the lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament's history.
Hubert Hurkacz and John Isner defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–4 to win the men's doubles title at the 2022 Miami Open. Isner completed the Sunshine Double, having won the title at Indian Wells alongside Jack Sock. He became the first player to achieve the Sunshine Double in men's doubles since Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in 2016.
Hubert Hurkacz defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Halle Open.
Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski defeated Dan Evans and John Peers in the final, 6–2, 4–6, [10–6] to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Canadian Open. It marked their second ATP Masters 1000 title together and sixth title of the season.
Hubert Hurkacz defeated Andrey Rublev in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 7–6(10–8) to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Shanghai Masters. He saved a championship point en route to his second Masters 1000 singles title. After his win in the second round, Zhang Zhizhen became the first Chinese man to reach the third and fourth rounds at Shanghai. He lost to eventual champion Hurkacz in three sets.
