The 2015 COSAFA Cup was the 15th edition of the COSAFA Cup, an international football competition consisting of national teams of member nations of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). It was hosted by South Africa in May 2015. [1] All matches took place in the North West province.

On 15 May 2015, COSAFA announced that fixtures would no longer be hosted at Olympia Park due to ongoing construction work and would instead be hosted by Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Phokeng. [3]

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations South Africa 2013 for sponsorship reasons, held from 19 January to 10 February 2013, was the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, the football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Starting from this edition, the tournament was switched to being held in odd-numbered years instead of even-numbered years so that it does not clash with the FIFA World Cup. The 2012 CAF Confederation Cup qualifying rounds decided the eight teams which played in the group stage.

The 2012 CAF Confederation Cup group stage matches took place between August and October 2012. The matchdays were 3–5 August, 17–19 August, 31 August–2 September, 14–16 September, 5–7 October, and 19–21 October.

Group D of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations ran from 22 January until 30 January. It consisted of Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Algeria and Togo. The matches were held in the South African cities of Rustenburg and Nelspruit.

The qualifying rounds of the 2013 CAF Champions League were played from 15 February to 5 May 2013, to decide the eight teams which advanced to the group stage.

The 2013 COSAFA U-20 Cup was the 22nd edition of the COSAFA U-20 Challenge Cup, an international youth competition open to national associations of the COSAFA region. It was the first time since 2011 that the competition took place, as the 2012 event was cancelled while COSAFA concentrated their effort into organising a football competition as part of the Zone Six Games.

The qualifying rounds of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup were played from 7 February to 27 April 2014, to decide the eight teams which advanced to the group stage.

The 2016 African Nations Championship, also known for short as the 2016 CHAN and for sponsorship purposes as the Orange African Nations Championship, was the 4th edition of the biennial African association football tournament organized by CAF featuring national teams consisting of players playing in their respective national leagues. It was held in Rwanda from 16 January to 7 February 2016.

Group C of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament was one of the seven groups to decide the teams which qualified for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals tournament. Group C consisted of four teams: Gabon, Burkina Faso, Angola, and Lesotho, who played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.

The third round of CAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 7 October 2016 to 14 November 2017.

In July 2017, it was reported that it would be hosted by Botswana in July 2018. However, in February 2018, COSAFA announced that South Africa would host the competition.

The 2018 COSAFA Under-17 Championship is the 7th edition of the COSAFA U-17 Championship, an association football tournament organised by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) involving teams from Southern Africa for players aged 17 and below.
