The 2015 Oakland Athletics season was the 48th for the franchise in Oakland, as well as the 115th in club history.
On November 28, 2014, the Athletics traded Josh Donaldson to the Toronto Blue Jays for Brett Lawrie, Kendall Graveman, Sean Nolin, and Franklin Barreto. [1]

LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: Midland [3]
The 1990 St. Louis Cardinals season was the team's 109th season in St. Louis, Missouri and its 99th season in the National League. The Cardinals went 70–92 during the season and finished in sixth place of the National League East division, 25 games behind the NL East champion Pittsburgh Pirates. It was the first time the Cardinals had finished in last place since 1918. This was the most recent season the Cardinals finished in last place until 2023.
The 1984 Toronto Blue Jays season was the franchise's eighth season of Major League Baseball. It resulted in the Blue Jays finishing second in the American League East with a record of 89 wins and 73 losses.
The 1989 Oakland Athletics season saw the A's finish in first place in the American League West, with a record of 99 wins and 63 losses, seven games in front of the Kansas City Royals. Oakland dominated the American League, earning their second consecutive AL West title, as well as marking the second straight year in which they finished with the best record in all of baseball. A's pitcher Dave Stewart recorded his third straight season of earning 20 or more wins while Rickey Henderson put on a dazzling offensive performance in the postseason as he approached the prospects of landing a three million dollar contract for the following season. The team defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in five games in the ALCS, then swept their cross-Bay rivals, the San Francisco Giants, in an earthquake-marred World Series. The Athletics looked to be a future dynasty by the close of the 1989 season.
The 1996 Chicago White Sox season was the White Sox's 97th season. They finished with a record of 85–77, good enough for second place in the American League Central, 14.5 games behind the first place Cleveland Indians.
The 1975 Chicago White Sox season was the team's 75th season in Major League Baseball, and its 76th season overall. They finished with a record of 75–86, good enough for fifth place in the American League West, 22½ games behind the first-place Oakland Athletics.
The 1999 Cleveland Indians are the only team in Major League Baseball since 1950 to score over 1,000 runs during the regular season. They were shut out only three times in 162 games. Five Indians scored at least 100 runs and four drove in at least 100 runs. Right fielder Manny Ramirez drove in 165 runs, the most by any MLB player since Jimmie Foxx in 1938.
The 2000 Cleveland Indians season was the 100th season for the franchise, within the American Major League Baseball organization. For the season two new players were signed; Chris Coste and Mark Whiten. The results of the season consisted of 90 wins and 72 losses. The Indians failed to win the AL Central and make the playoffs for the first time since 1993.

The 2014Houston Astros season was the 53rd season for the franchise in Houston, their 50th as the Astros and their 15th season at Minute Maid Park. The Astros failed to make the playoffs, but made a nineteen win improvement from the previous season, finishing 70–92. The Astros also avoided last place in the American League West, finishing three games ahead of the Rangers. It was the first time since 2010 that the Astros did not finish in last place for their division, and featured the best overall season record since that season as well.
The 2014 Cleveland Indians season was the 114th season for the franchise. They finished in third place, five games back in the American League Central.
The 2014 Atlanta Braves season was the Braves' 18th season of home games at Turner Field, 49th season in Atlanta, and 144th season overall. Before September, the Braves had two winning months and three non-winning months that they played, and briefly reached first place in their division. The team's performance declined in September, as the team lost 16 out of the first 20 games they played that month.
