The 2016 European Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships was held in Kazan, Russia, from February 16 to February 21, 2016. This tournament also serves as European qualification for the 2016 Thomas & Uber Cup. [1]

The 2009 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 5th edition of the event. It was held in Doha, Qatar from 3 to 8 November 2009.
The 2011 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 7th edition of the event. It was held in Doha, Qatar from 8 to 14 October 2011.

It served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 Thomas & Uber Cup in Thailand. Indonesia, the three-time champions, and Japan were the defending champions of the men's and women's category respectively.
The 2022 All Africa Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships was a continental stage tournament of Thomas and Uber Cups, and also to crown the best men's and women's badminton team in Africa. This tournament was held in Kampala, Uganda between 14 and 17 February 2022.
