Ben George Barnicoat is a British racing driver. He is a Lexus Racing USA factory racing driver, making his IMSA Sportscar Championship debut in 2022. Benjamin William "Ben" Barker is a British professional racing driver currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. A Porsche stalwart for over a decade, he is an Australian Formula 3 champion, a Porsche Carrera Cup GB runner-up, a four-time Bathurst 12 Hour class winner and a Dubai 24 Hour overall winner. Despite limited success in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Barker is considered one of the strongest GTE Am drivers, having broken the lap record for the category at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2024 Hankook Dubai 24 Hour was the 19th running of the Dubai 24 Hour, an endurance race that took place at the Dubai Autodrome on 27 and 28 January 2024. It was the final round of the 2023–24 Middle East Trophy. Originally scheduled to 13 and 14 January, a change to the race date was announced on 27 December 2023, the Dubai 24 Hour becoming the season finale, due to shipping issues in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

Therefore, the race reverted to a split format, with a break after 8 Hours, as opposed to earlier editions that had the break after 6 Hours. Also returning this year is the 992 Cup class reserved for Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars.
