The United States women's national ice hockey team is controlled by USA Hockey. The U.S. has been one of the most successful women's ice hockey teams in international play, having medaled in every major tournament.
Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey is a college ice hockey program that has represented Syracuse University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and Atlantic Hockey America (AHA). The Orange joined AHA at the conference's creation after the 2023–24 season, when College Hockey America (CHA), the Orange's home since the 2008–09 season, merged with the Atlantic Hockey Association. Syracuse plays its home games at Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion in Syracuse, New York.
The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two college ice hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America (CHA) for the 2012–13 season, after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Tigers' conference affiliation was transferred to Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) following the merger of CHA and the Atlantic Hockey Association in April 2024.
The Manitoba Bisons are an ice hockey team that represents the University of Manitoba. They compete in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport athletic program. Home games are contested at the Wayne Fleming Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Jillian Pauline Saulnier is a Canadian ice hockey forward currently with PWHL New York of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She is a two-time Olympian for Canada, winning a gold medal in 2022 and a silver medal in 2018.
Mark Barberio is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for Severstal Cherepovets of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Barberio was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round, 152nd overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Shiann Darkangelo is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Ottawa of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She has played at the international level with Team USA and won gold at the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship with the team. At the NCAA Division I level, she accumulated 42 points with the Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey program during the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons and registered 60 points with the Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey program during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons. She was team captain of the Toronto Six roster that won the 2023 Isobel Cup championship.
The Mercyhurst Lakers represented Mercyhurst University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2015-16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Lakers were the regular season champions of the College Hockey America Conference (CHA), as well as the CHA Tournament Champions. They were defeated in the NCAA Championship Tournament by #2 Wisconsin.
The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2015-16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Orange finished conference play in second place, and advanced to the CHA Tournament Final, before losing to the Mercyhurst 4-3 in overtime. It was the second consecutive year that the Orange took the championship into overtime. Senior Melissa Piacentini was named CHA Player of the Year, while Nicole Renault was the CHA Defenseman of the Year.
The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2016-17 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. They came in second in their conference and reached the conference championship game before falling to Robert Morris.
The Penn State Nittany Lions women represented Penn State University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2015-16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. For the second consecutive year, the Nittany Lions finished conference play in third place, and advanced to the CHA Tournament Semi-Final, before losing to Syracuse. Penn State took that game into triple overtime, before falling 3-2.
The Lindenwood Lady Lions women represented Lindenwood University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2015-16 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Lady Lions finished conference play in fifth place, and were eliminated in the first round of the CHA Tournament Final by Robert Morris.
Hayley Scamurra is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Ottawa of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), and a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. She played college ice hockey at Northeastern University, where she played for four seasons.
The Wisconsin Badgers represent the University of Wisconsin in WCHA women's ice hockey during the 2017-18 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season.
The 2017–18 Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey season represented the University of Minnesota during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. They were coached by Brad Frost in his 11th season.
Akane Hosoyamada is a Japanese-Canadian ice hockey player and alternate captain of the Japanese national team.
The Robert Morris Colonials women represented Robert Morris University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2018-19 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Colonials won their third consecutive regular season title, but lost in the CHA Tournament Championship 6-2 to the Syracuse Orange.
The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2018-19 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Orange earned the first trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history.
Savannah Ashley Harmon is an American professional ice hockey defenceman for PWHL Ottawa in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. She previously played for the Minnesota chapter of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA).
Lindsay Eastwood is a retired Canadian ice hockey defender, having played for the Toronto Six in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) from 2020 to 2023. The Syracuse Orange all-time leader in goals scored among defenders, she scored the first goal in Six history. She was a member of the Six roster that won the 2023 Isobel Cup championship, representing the last championship team of the PHF.
