The 2017-18 Boa Vista Island League season was the competition of the second-tier football in the island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. Its started early on December 9 and finished early on March 25. The championships were organized by the Boa Vista Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol da Boa Vista, ARFBV). [1] Sport Sal Rei Club won their 11th title, it was also the club's third straight, Sal Rei qualified into the 2017 Cape Verdean Football Championships and placed in Group A.

It is based in Sal Rei in the island of Boa Vista. Its current president is Ogino Almeida and its manager is Marley Monteiro. The club was once owned by Lin Fortes.

Sal Rei scored the most number of goals of the season numbering 35, second was fifth placed Sporting with 31 and third was second placed Africa show with 29, Estância Baixo scored the least with only 10. Estância Baixo conceded the most with 53, second was Juventude with 24.

The top three clubs finished the same position as last season, the last two placed club also finished the same position as last season. On the opposites, Estância Baixo's all matches ended in losses and had the worst season in club history.

Associação Académica e Operária da Boa Vista is a sports club that its football (soccer) team had played in the Premier division and plays in the Boa Vista Island South Zone Division in Cape Verde. It is based in the island capital of Sal Rei in the island of Boa Vista and plays with Boa Vista's teams in the same stadium. Apart from football (soccer) there are also in the club basketball, volleyball and athletics departments.

Desportivo Estância Baixo is a sports club for a football (soccer) team that plays in the Boa Vista Island League in Cape Verde. The team is based in the settlement of Estância de Baixo in the island of Boa Vista and receives assistance from the local government. The club area includes the south of the island, especially Curral Velho. The team has never won any title.

Onze Estrelas Boa Vista or Onze Estrelas Clube de Bofareira is a football (soccer) club that currently plays in the Campeonato Nacional de Cabo Verde and in the Boa Vista Island League in Cape Verde. It is based on the island of Boa Vista and plays in the stadium with a capacity of 1,000 though the village they play is for Bofareira. Its current manager is Tó Monteiro.

GD Palmeira won their third title, their next title in 18 years and their national participation currently participating in Group C at the 2018 Cape Verdean Football Championships. Its matches were played at Estádio Marcelo Leitão.

The 2009 Cape Verdean Cup season was the 3rd competition of the regional football cup in Cape Verde. The season started on 20 July and finished with the cup final on 2 August. The cup competition was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Group A matches took place at Estádio Adérito Sena in Mindelo, São Vicente and Group B matches took place at Estádio Marcelo Leitão in Espargos. The final stage containing two semifinal matches and a final were played at Estádio da Várzea. Boavista Praia won their first of two cup title.

The cup competition was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Boavista Praia won their last of two cup titles. A month later, they would also win a championship title, currently the only club to win both a cup and a championship title.

The 2012 Cape Verdean Cup season was the 5th competition of the regional football cup in Cape Verde. The season started on 11 August and finished with the cup final on 24 August. The cup competition was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Maio's Onze Unidos won their only title.
