The 1995–96 Copa del Rey was the 94th staging of the Copa del Rey.

The 2010–11 Copa del Rey was the 109th staging of the Copa del Rey. The competition began on 21 August 2010 and ended on 20 April 2011 with the final, held at the Estadio Mestalla in Valencia, in which Real Madrid lifted the trophy for the eighteenth time in their history with a 1–0 victory over Barcelona in extra time. Sevilla were the defending champions, but they were defeated by Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

The 2006–07 season was Sevilla Fútbol Club's sixth consecutive season in La Liga. The team manager in the previous season, Juande Ramos, continued with the team. That season, the team won its second consecutive UEFA Cup in a very special final match against another Spanish team (Espanyol) and was the leader of La Liga for first time since the 1945–46 season, when the team won its only league championship. Sevilla also won its fourth Copa del Rey against Getafe.

The 1995–1996 campaign was the 90th season in Atlético Madrid's history and their 60th season in La Liga, the top division of Spanish football. The team won 'The Double' both La Liga and Copa del Rey in a great season for supporters.

The 2013–14 Copa del Rey was the 112th staging of the Copa del Rey. The competition began on 4 September 2013 and ended on 16 April 2014 with the final. The final took place at Mestalla in Valencia, and saw Real Madrid defeat Barcelona 2–1 to win their 19th title in the competition. The winners assured a place for the group stage of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League, although Madrid qualified for the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League due to their league performance.

The 2015–16 Copa del Rey was the 114th staging of the Copa del Rey. Going into the tournament, the winners were assured a place for the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League Group stage. However, since the two finalists, Barcelona and Sevilla, both qualified for the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League, respectively by winning the 2015–16 La Liga title and the 2015–16 Europa League, the cup winner's place in the 2016–17 Europa League group stage instead passed to the fifth-place team in La Liga, Athletic Bilbao.

The 2016–17 Primera División Femenina de Fútbol, also known as Liga Iberdrola for sponsorship reasons, was the 29th edition of Spain's highest women's football league. Athletic Club were the defending champions. The competition started on 3 September 2016.

The 2017–18 Primera División Femenina de Fútbol was the 30th edition of Spain's highest women's football league. The season started on 3 September 2017 and ended on 13 May 2018.

The 2016–17 season was the 29th season in the history of FC Barcelona Femení and 16th season as FC Barcelona's official women's football section. It was the last of eleven seasons managed by Xavi Llorens. Barcelona became the first Spanish team to reach the semifinals of the UEFA Women's Champions League in its fifth appearance on a row in the competition.

The 2017–18 season of Levante UD Femenino was the 19th season of the women's team of football club Levante UD. The team was 8th in Primera División and a quarterfinalist in the Copa de la Reina.

The 2018–19 season was the 31st season in the history of FC Barcelona Femení, its 18th season as FC Barcelona's official women's football section and its 11th consecutive season in Primera División.

The 2021–22 Copa de la Reina de Fútbol was the 40th edition of the Spanish women's association football national cup. Barcelona were the defending champions, having won the last two editions. They defended the title with a 6-1 win over Sporting de Huelva.

The 2023–24 Copa de la Reina de Fútbol is the 42nd edition of the Spanish women's association football national cup organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The 2019–20 season was the 32nd season in the history of FC Barcelona Femení. Having experienced a trophy drought since 2018, the team won all four domestic titles, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League in which they went out by a 0–1 defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg for Barcelona's only loss of the season in all competitions.
