The 2018 CONCACAF League Final was the final round of the 2018 CONCACAF League, the second edition of the CONCACAF League, the secondary club football tournament organised by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. [1]
The final was contested in two-legged home-and-away format between Herediano from Costa Rica and Motagua from Honduras. The first leg was hosted by Herediano at the Estadio Eladio Rosabal Cordero in Heredia on 25 October 2018, while the second leg was hosted by Motagua at the Estadio Tiburcio Carías Andino in Tegucigalpa on 1 November 2018. Herediano won the final 3–2 on aggregate for their first CONCACAF League title. [3] [4]

The final was played on a home-and-away two-legged basis, with the team with the better performance in previous rounds hosting the second leg.
The away goals rule would not be applied, and extra time would be played if the aggregate score was tied after the second leg. If the aggregate score was still tied after extra time, the penalty shoot-out would be used to determine the winner (Regulations II, Article G). [1]

Club Sport Herediano, commonly known as Herediano and nicknamed El Team, is a Costa Rican multisport club based in Heredia, Heredia province. Although they compete in a number of different sports, Herediano is best known for its football team. It plays in the Primera División de Costa Rica, the top tier of the Costa Rican football league system. Herediano are one of two clubs to have never been relegated.
The 1999 UNCAF Interclub Cup was the 17th edition of the Central American Club Championship, and the first under the name UNCAF Interclub Cup. The tournament was organized by UNCAF, the football regional body in Central America.
The 2005 CONCACAF U17 Tournament was played in Costa Rica and Mexico.
The 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League preliminary round was the first round of the 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League. Sixteen teams were entered in this round, and were drawn into eight matchups that were contested in a two-legged tie. The first leg of each of the preliminary round matchups was played July 28–30, 2009, and the second leg was played August 4–6. This tournament's preliminary round was scheduled to begin one month earlier than the previous season in order to alleviate schedule congestion for participants due to fourth round of CONCACAF qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
