The Euroformula Open Championship is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe that together used to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One. The championship's first season was held in 2001. In 2006, it was branded as the Spanish F3 Championship by Toyota, in deference to its sole engine supplier. In 2020, the championship ceased to be a F3-championship and will share its specifications with Japan's Super Formula Lights based on the previous-generation Formula Three standards, primarily with a choice of engines.
The 2010 Italian Formula Three Championship was the 46th Italian Formula Three Championship season. The season began on 24 April at Misano and ended on 24 October at Monza after 16 races held at eight meetings.

Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger dominated the championship, winning twelve out of the 21 races, helping his team Van Amersfoort Racing to become teams' champions. The rookie championship was won by Mercedes junior Paul Aron, who won two races in the overall championship. Hauger's closest challenger Gianluca Petecof won four races, and Roman Staněk, Joshua Dürksen and Giorgio Carrara won one race each.

Francesco Simonazzi is an Italian racing driver who last raced in the Euroformula Open Championship with BVM Racing. He previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Rodin Carlin, and has also competed in the Italian F4 Championship with the same team.
