The 2016 Euroformula Open Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open wheel formula racing cars that held across Europe. The championship featured drivers competing in two-litre Formula Three racing cars built by Italian constructor Dallara which conform to the technical regulations, or formula, for the championship. It was the third Euroformula Open Championship season.

Race calendar

An eight-round provisional calendar was revealed on 12 November 2015. [27] All rounds will support the International GT Open (excepting Jerez) and Formula V8 3.5 (excepting Estoril and Le Castellet) series. On 8 March 2016 the last two rounds were swapped. [28] Rounds denoted with a blue background are part of the Spanish Formula Three Championship.

The 2017 became the first season as feeder series to FIA World Endurance Championship. The season also marked the return of the name "World Series" after one season, as the FIA accepted the request from promoter RPM Racing. The name "World Series" was retrieved from the championship after Renault Sport withdraw its support and the Formula Renault 3.5 became Formula V8 3.5 for the 2016 season. It was the final season of the series which was promoted by RPM-MKTG since 1998.

The 2018 Euroformula Open Championship is a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open wheel formula racing cars that held across Europe. The championship features drivers competing in two-litre Formula Three racing cars built by Italian constructor Dallara which conform to the technical regulations, or formula, for the championship. It was the fifth Euroformula Open Championship season.
