They will participate in Tippeligaen, the Cup and the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League, entering at the First qualifying round stage.

The 2016 season is Rosenborg's 26th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, their 49th season in the top flight of Norwegian football and second season with Kåre Ingebrigtsen as permanent manager. They will participate in Tippeligaen, the Cup and the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League, entering at the Second qualifying round stage.
The 2017 season is Rosenborg's 38th consecutive year in the top flight now known as Eliteserien, their 50th season in the top flight of Norwegian football and third season with Kåre Ingebrigtsen as permanent manager. They will participate in Eliteserien, the Cup, Mesterfinalen and the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League, entering at the Second qualifying round stage. They qualified for the group stage of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. This year will mark Rosenborg's 100th anniversary, an event that will be marked with the game against Lillestrøm on 20 May, one day after the 100th anniversary.

This will be Eirik Horneland's first season as Rosenborg manager after being appointed on January 3.

They will participate in Eliteserien, the Cup and Europa League entering at the First Qualifying round. The end of the pre-season and the start of the season were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After two months, the season was confirmed to start 16 June, with full training starting from 7 May. This was Eirik Horneland's second season as Rosenborg manager, but he was let go after only 3 matches. Trond Henriksen took over as interim manager until Åge Hareide was appointed new manager. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic only 200 fans were allowed in the stadiums the first 20 rounds, while 600 fans were allowed in the remaining 10 rounds.
The 2022 season is Rosenborg's 43rd consecutive year in the top flight now known as Eliteserien, their 54th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. They will participate in Eliteserien and the Cup. This will be Kjetil Rekdal's first season as Rosenborg manager.
