The English Institute of Sport is a multi-sport facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The facility designed by FaulknerBrowns Architects was opened in December 2003 at a cost of £24 million. Its main feature is a 200m indoor track, but it also hosts several other sporting arenas as well as a large gym and extensive sports medicine facilities. She was a world champion in the women’s epee team event, which was the first World Championship medal won by an American women’s epee team. Holmes anchored the team, defeating Korea in overtime in the finals. She also anchored the United States women’s epee team to its first World Cup gold medal, defeating Russia in overtime in the finals. She was the back-to-back gold medalist in both the individual and team events at the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019 and Toronto in 2015. She qualified to represent the United States in fencing at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in 2021.

Amita Marie Nicolette Berthier OLY is a Singaporean, left-handed foil fencer. She attended the University of Notre Dame from 2018 to 2023, clinching 4 individual NCAA Fencing Championships medals. Representing Singapore, Berthier has won 3 SEA Games gold medals and qualified for 2 Olympic Games.
The 47th FIE Fencing World Cup began in October 2017 and concluded in July 2018 at the 2018 World Fencing Championships held in Wuxi. Of the 153 national federations in the International Fencing Federation (FIE), 108 were represented in Wuxi with 771 athletes participating.
