The BWF World Junior Championships, also known as the World Junior Badminton Championships, is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation to crown the best junior badminton players (U-19) in the world. The championship is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championship followed by an individual championship.
Chai Biao is a Chinese professional badminton player. Chai has concentrated on men's doubles for the majority of his senior career in badminton. His most successful partnership was with Hong Wei: together they reached the year end tournament BWF Superseries Finals in 2014 and 2015. As Hong has since retired, Chai's current partner in men's doubles is Wang Zekang.
Tan Wee Kiong is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He had a partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. In their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, they won the silver medal, becoming the first Malaysian pair to achieve such a feat since 1996. In November 2016, they reached a career-high ranking of world number 1, making them the fifth ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to do so, after Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek, followed by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.
Goh V Shem is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He was partnered with Tan Wee Kiong after their outstanding performance at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Goh and Tan won the gold medal for the men's doubles event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as all their matches in the mixed team event, helping Malaysia retain the gold medal for the third consecutive time. They also won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games and the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thus making them the second ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the silver medal at the Olympic Games 20 years after the feat was achieved by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock in 1996 Atlanta. Goh and Tan are also the fifth Malaysian men's doubles pair to hold the world number 1 ranking after Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek, followed by Cheah and Yap, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and later on by Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong ever since official rankings were kept in the 80s.

Debby Susanto is an Indonesian former badminton player who specializes in doubles. She joined PB Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java from 2006 until her retirement. Susanto known as Muhammad Rijal's longtime partner in the mixed doubles. The partnership ended in the end of the 2013 shortly after they won gold medal in 2013 SEA Games in Myanmar due to Rijal's resignation from national team.
Ricky Karanda Suwardi is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. He is from Mutiara Cardinal Bandung club. Paired with Angga Pratama started end of 2014, the 2015 Singapore Open became the first BWF World Superseries title for him in the men's doubles after beating Chinese pair Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan in the final by 21–15, 11–21, 21–14.
Berry Angriawan is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2016 Asia Team Championships and at the 2017 SEA Games.
Wahyu Nayaka Arya Pankaryanira is an Indonesian badminton player who plays in doubles category. Born in East Lombok, Pankaryanira has joined the Ratih club in Banten.
Melati Daeva Oktavianti is an Indonesian doubles specialist badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2008. She was the 2019 SEA Games gold medalist in the mixed doubles with Praveen Jordan, and 2012 World Junior mixed doubles champion partnered with Edi Subaktiar. Oktavianti and Subaktiar partnership were also a former world junior number 1.
Goh Soon Huat is a Malaysian badminton player. He was a part of the Malaysia team that won bronze in the men's team event at the Incheon 2014 Asian Games. He switched to mixed doubles and paired up with Shevon Jemie Lai due to a lack of performance in the singles department. His best achievement is winning the mixed doubles title at the 2018 Singapore Open with Lai, where they beat the 2016 Olympic gold medalists Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in the final in straight games.
Kento Momota is a former Japanese badminton player. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota has received a Guinness World Records certificate for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season.
Goh Jin Wei is a Malaysian badminton player. She won the 2015 and 2018 BWF World Junior Championships and the girls' singles title at the 2018 Youth Olympics. At senior level, she won the women's singles title at the 2017 SEA Games.
Goh Sze Fei is a Malaysian badminton player. He was a silver medalist in the 2024 Asian Championships. Goh was part of the Malaysia winning team in the 2022 Asia Team Championships. He won the 2022 German Open in the men's doubles event partnered with Nur Izzuddin, their first BWF World Tour title.
Soong Joo Ven is a Malaysian badminton player. He was part of the Malaysian team that won gold in the 2011 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event.
Shevon Jemie Lai is a Malaysian badminton player.
He Jiting is a Chinese badminton player. As a junior player, his best achievements was winning the boys' doubles at the 2015 Asian and World Junior Championships, later won the mixed doubles at the 2016 Asian and World Junior Championships. He was part of the national team that lifted the Tong Yun Kai Cup at the 2019 and 2023 Asia Mixed Team Championships, and at the 2021 Sudirman Cup.
Wang Zhiyi is a Chinese badminton player from Shashi, Jingzhou, in Hubei province. She was two-time Asian Champions winning the title in 2022 and 2024. She was part of China winning team in the 2020 and 2024 Uber Cup, as well at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup. She won her first BWF World Tour Finals title in 2024.
An Se-young is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF. She won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, making history as the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships title. She then clinched the women's singles gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. An was also a part of South Korea’s gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Uber Cup and at the 2022 Asian Games.
The boys' singles of the tournament 2019 BWF World Junior Championships was held from 7 to 13 October 2019. The defending champions is Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand.
