The 2019 Washington Huskies men's soccer team represented the University of Washington during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season and the 2019 Pac-12 Conference men's soccer season. It was the program's 57th season fielding a men's varsity soccer team, and their 20th season in the Pac-12 Conference. The 2019 season was Jamie Clark's ninth year as head coach for the program. The regular season began on August 30 and concluded on November 16, with the Huskies winning the 2019 Pac-12 Championship. The conference title has been the third for Washington and its first since 2013. [1] The team had entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 6 seed and lost to the eventual national champions Georgetown in quarterfinals. [2]
The Huskies finished the 2018 season with a 12–7–1 overall record and a 6–4 record in Pac-12 play, [3] good enough for a third place finish in the conference. [3] Despite not winning the Pac-12 title, the Huskies earned an at-large berth into the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. [4] Washington hosted Lipscomb University in the first round, where they tied 0–0 in regulation before losing 4–5 on penalty kicks. The Washington Huskies are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Washington, located in Seattle. The school competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
The Washington Huskies football team represents the University of Washington in college football. Washington competed in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Big Ten Conference, after having been a charter member of the Pac-12 Conference until the end of the 2023-2024 season. Husky Stadium, located on campus in Seattle, has been the Huskies' home field since 1920.
The Georgetown Hoyas men's soccer team represents Georgetown University in all men's Division I NCAA soccer competitions. The Georgetown Hoyas joined the new Big East Conference on July 1, 2013, with other private schools from the former Big East Conference in which they previously competed. They won a national championship in 2019, and was the national runner-up in 2012. They have made nine total appearances in the NCAA Men's Division I Soccer Championship, and have won the Big East conference tournament four times and the regular season title seven times.
The 2005–06 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2005–06 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. In head coach Lorenzo Romar's 4th season at the University of Washington, the Huskies played their home games at Bank of America Arena and were members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 26–7, 13–5 in Pac-10 play and finished second in the Pac–10 regular season's final standings behind UCLA. They earned a 5 seed in the East Regional of the NCAA tournament, where they defeated 12th seeded Utah State in the 1st round, 4th seeded Illinois in the second round and eventually falling 98–92 in overtime to the region's 1 seed, UConn, in the Sweet 16. This was the 3rd straight season that the Huskies had appeared in the NCAA Tournament and 2nd straight year that they made it to the Sweet 16.
