The 2020 Pan American Judo Championships was a judo event which took place in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 19 to 22 November 2020. The championships were originally scheduled to be held in Montreal, Canada, from 17 to 19 April 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] [2] [3]

The 2011 Pan American Judo Championships was held in Guadalajara, Mexico at the CODE II Gymnasium from April 1–2, 2011. The event is being held as a test event for the 2011 Pan American Games. Also this event is one of the qualification event for the judo events at the 2011 Pan American Games.
Rafael Carlos da Silva is a Brazilian heavyweight judoka. He became Brazil's first Olympic medalist in the judo heavyweight division (>100 kg), winning a bronze medal in 2012. Silva won the Pan American Judo Championships in 2012–2014 and 2016, and qualified for the 2016 Olympics.
Judo competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 14 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Due to naming rights the arena was known as the latter for the duration of the games. A total of fourteen judo events were held: seven each for men and women.
David Moura Pereira da Silva is a Brazilian judoka. He won a silver medal at the 2017 World Judo Championships in Budapest. In 2020, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's +100 kg event at the 2020 Pan American Judo Championships held in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2021, he competed in the men's +100 kg event at the 2021 Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar.
Tohar Butbul is an Israeli judoka. He competes in the under 73 kg weight category, where he won silver medals at the 2019 Judo World Masters and the 2021 European Championships, and won bronze medals in the 2017 Paris Grand Slam and 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. As of March 2018 he was ranked #9 in the world in the U73 kg division.
Jessica Klimkait is a Canadian Judoka who competes in the women's 57 kg category. In 2021 she became Canada's second judo world champion, defeating Momo Tamaoki of Japan in the women's lightfoot (57 kg) final at the championships in Budapest, Hungary; the win also qualified her for the Tokyo Olympic Games. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The 2020 Asian-Pacific Judo Championships was a Judo event expected to take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The championships were originally scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 April, then from 26 to 29 November, but were postponed both times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was eventually cancelled.
Larissa Pimenta is a Brazilian judoka. At the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru, she won the gold medal in the 52 kg event. She is also a three-time gold medalist in her event at the Pan American Judo Championships. She also represented Brazil at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Yuliana Vanessa Bolívar Gonzáles is a Peruvian judoka. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's +78 kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru. In her bronze medal match she defeated Nina Cutro-Kelly of the United States. She is originally from Venezuela.
Andy Granda is a Cuban judoka. He won the gold medal in the men's +100 kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru.
Alonso Wong is a Peruvian judoka. He won the silver medal in the men's 73 kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru.
Luz Olvera is a Mexican judoka. At the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru, she won the silver medal in the women's 52 kg event. She lost against Larissa Pimenta of Brazil in the final.
Eric Takabatake is a Brazilian judoka. He is a two-time gold medalist in the men's 60 kg event at the Pan American Judo Championships.
