Jason Newth Morris is a retired American judoka. He was a four-time Olympian and 2008 Olympic Coach, is best known for winning the silver medal in the -78kg weight category in the 1992 Summer Olympics and a Bronze Medal in the 1993 World Judo Championships. He is a Hachidan his favorite techniques are Uchi Mata, Tai Otoshi, and his "Sticker or Sticky Foot".
The Pan American Judo Championships are continental judo Championships organized by the Pan American Judo Confederation since 2009. Previous championships were organized by the Panamerican Judo Union. From 2022 they are renamed to Pan American-Oceania Judo Championships.
The 2011 Pan American Judo Championships was held in Guadalajara, Mexico at the CODE II Gymnasium from April 1–2, 2011. The event is being held as a test event for the 2011 Pan American Games. Also this event is one of the qualification event for the judo events at the 2011 Pan American Games.
Maria de Lourdes Mazzoleni Portela is a Brazilian middleweight judoka. She won bronze medals at the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games, and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. At the 2012 Olympics, she lost her first match to Yuri Alvear. At the 2016 Games, she beat Assmaa Niang in the first round, before losing to Bernadette Graf in the second.
Rafael Carlos da Silva is a Brazilian heavyweight judoka. He became Brazil's first Olympic medalist in the judo heavyweight division (>100 kg), winning a bronze medal in 2012. Silva won the Pan American Judo Championships in 2012–2014 and 2016, and qualified for the 2016 Olympics.
Elvismar Rodríguez Ruiz is a judoka from Venezuela. She represented her country in the 2016 Summer Olympics in the Women's 70 kg competition, but lost to Antónia Moreira of Angola in the first round via ippon. She also competed in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2021, he competed in the men's +100 kg event at the 2021 Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar.
Cecilia Alacán Garcia is a Cuban former judoka, who won three gold medals at the Pan American Judo Championships and two medals at the Pan American Games.

The 2020 Pan American Judo Championships was a judo event which took place in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 19 to 22 November 2020. The championships were originally scheduled to be held in Montreal, Canada, from 17 to 19 April 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 Pan American Judo Championships were held in Lima, Peru from 15 to 17 April 2022. This edition of the Pan American Judo Championships was combined with the Oceania Judo Championships.
