The 2020 African Judo Championships took place in Antananarivo, Madagascar, from 17 to 20 December 2020.

Contents

The championships were originally scheduled to be held in Casablanca from 16 to 19 April, then in Rabat from 28 to 30 November, but were postponed both times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] [2] [3]

Monica Sagna is a Senegalese judoka. She is a two-time bronze medalist at the African Games. She has also won numerous medals at the African Judo Championships.

Hélène Wezeu Dombeu is a Cameroonian judoka. She is a two-time gold medalist in the women's 63 kg at the African Games, both in 2015 and in 2019.

Marie Branser is a German-born naturalized Guinean judoka, who formerly also represented the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Olympics. She is a two-time African Judo Championships gold medalist. In 2021, she competed in the women's 78 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Priscilla Morand is a Mauritian judoka. She won the gold medal in the women's 48 kg event at the 2022 African Judo Championships held in Oran, Algeria.
