This article displays the qualifying draw for men's singles at the 2021 Australian Open.

Contents

For the first time in Grand Slam history, the qualifying tournament took place at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, due to Australia's quarantine restrictions resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Only qualified players and players eligible for a 'Lucky loser' spot were then able to travel to Melbourne for the main draw of the 2021 Australian Open. [1]

Andrey Rublev defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime in the final, 7–5, 7–6(7–4) to win the singles title at the 2022 Open 13 Provence.

Taylor Fritz defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. It was his maiden Masters 1000 title and second career title overall. Fritz became the first American to win the title since Andre Agassi in 2001, and ended Nadal's 20-match winning streak, dating back to the 2022 Melbourne Open.
