2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A

Group A of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup took place from 10 to 18 July 2021 in Arlington's AT&T Stadium, Dallas' Cotton Bowl and Frisco's Toyota Stadium. [1] The group consisted of El Salvador, Guatemala, defending champions Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago. [2]

Contents

Originally, Curaçao would have played in this group. On 9 July 2021, Curaçao was removed as a participant due to close contacts with those tested positive to COVID-19 and replaced by Guatemala. [3]

Group A of the 2021 Copa América, also referred to as the South Zone, took place from 14 to 28 June 2021 in Brazil. The group consisted of former co-hosts Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay. It would also have included guests Australia before their withdrawal on 23 February 2021.

Group B of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup took place from 11 to 18 July 2021 in Frisco's Toyota Stadium and Kansas City's Children's Mercy Park. The group consisted of Canada, Haiti, Martinique, and host nation the United States.

Group C of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup took place from 12 to 20 July 2021 in Houston's BBVA Stadium and Orlando's Exploria Stadium. The group consisted of Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, and Suriname.

Group D of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup took place from 13 to 20 July 2021 in Houston's BBVA Stadium and Orlando's Exploria Stadium. The group consisted of Grenada, Honduras, Panama, and invitees Qatar.

The knockout stage of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup began on 24 July 2021 with the quarter-finals and ended on 1 August 2021 with the final at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise.
