This was the third edition of the tournament, primarily created due to the one-week delay of the 2021 French Open. [1]

Sebastian Korda won his first ATP Tour singles title, defeating Marco Cecchinato in the final, 6–2, 6–4 without dropping a set. By winning the tournament, Korda became the first American male tennis player to win on European clay since Sam Querrey in 2010. [2]

Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic in the final, 1–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2020 Cincinnati Masters. With the win, he claimed his record-equaling 35th Masters 1000 title, and completed the double career Golden Masters. It became the second tournament at which Nadal had earned 12 or more victories, after the French Open. At three hours and 38 minutes, the final match was at the time the longest best-of-three-set tour-level final ever recorded since the ATP began tracking statistics in 1991, until the 2023 Cincinnati Masters final. Tsitsipas, who had also lost to Nadal in his first career ATP singles final at this tournament in 2018, was in contention to win his first ATP 500 tournament title on his seventh attempt.

Nikoloz Basilashvili defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Bavarian International Tennis Championships. After not dropping a set en route to his victory, Basilashvili earned his second title of the season and his fifth career ATP Tour singles title overall. Struff was in contention to win his first title in his first tour-level final.

The 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open was a tennis tournament played on clay courts. It was the 1st edition of the event for male and female professional tennis players, respectively. It was part of the 2021 ATP Tour and the 2021 WTA Tour and took place in Parma, Italy.

Alex de Minaur defeated Lorenzo Sonego in the final, 4–6, 6–4, 7–6(7–5), to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Eastbourne International. It was De Minaur's fifth career ATP Tour singles title and his first on grass. Sonego was contesting in his second grass final to win his third career title.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Richard Gasquet in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Croatia Open. It was his first ATP Tour title. With the victory, Alcaraz became the youngest player to win an ATP Tour title since Kei Nishikori at the 2008 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.

Aslan Karatsev defeated Andy Murray in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Sydney Tennis Classic. This was Murray's first ATP final since he won the 2019 European Open.

Holger Rune defeated Botic van de Zandschulp in the final by retirement, 3–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Bavarian International Tennis Championships. It was Rune's first ATP Tour title, making him the third-youngest tournament champion in the Open Era and the first Dane to win an ATP title since Kenneth Carlsen at 2005 Memphis. Van de Zandschulp was also contesting for his first title in his first tour final.

Cameron Norrie defeated Alex Molčan in the final, 6–3, 6–7(3–7), 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 ATP Lyon Open. Norrie became the first Briton to win a clay court title on the ATP Tour since 2016.

Holger Rune defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 7–5 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Paris Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title, and he saved three match points en route, in the first round against Stan Wawrinka. Rune made his top-10 debut in the ATP rankings with the win, and he defeated five top-10 players en route to the title. This was Rune's fourth final in a row, and his third title. He became the second teenager to win a Masters 1000 title in the 2022 season, after Carlos Alcaraz at Miami and Madrid. Rune was the first Scandinavian to win a Masters 1000 title since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.

Kwon Soon-woo defeated Roberto Bautista Agut in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 7–6(7–4) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Adelaide International 2. It was his second ATP Tour singles title, and he became just the tenth man in ATP Tour history to win a title as a lucky loser.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. It was his fourth Masters 1000 title. Struff was the first lucky loser to reach a Masters final.

Daniil Medvedev defeated Holger Rune in the final, 7–5, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Italian Open. It was his fifth title of 2023, sixth career Masters 1000 title, and first ATP Tour title on clay. Before 2023, Medvedev had never won a match at the Italian Open in three previous appearances.
