The 1999 Sanex Trophy singles was the singles event of the first edition of the Sanex Trophy; a WTA Tier IV tournament and one of the most prestigious women's tennis tournament held in Belgium.
Gabriela Dabrowski and Rohan Bopanna won the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2017 French Open, defeating Anna-Lena Grönefeld and Robert Farah in the final, 2–6, 6–2, [12–10]. They saved two championship points in the third-set tiebreak.
Martina Hingis and Jamie Murray were the defending champions, but Hingis retired from professional tennis at the end of 2017. Murray successfully defended his title alongside Bethanie Mattek-Sands, defeating Alicja Rosolska and Nikola Mektić, 2–6, 6–3, [11–9] to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2018 US Open.
Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe defeated Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in the final, 3–6, 7–6(7–2), 7–6(8–6) to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2018 US Open. They saved three championship points en route to the title.
Latisha Chan and Martina Hingis were the defending champions, but Hingis retired from professional tennis at the end of 2017. Chan played alongside her sister Chan Hao-ching, but lost in the second round to Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová.
Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Eri Hozumi and Makoto Ninomiya in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2018 French Open. It was their first major title together.
Gabriela Dabrowski and Rohan Bopanna were the defending champions, but chose not to compete together. Bopanna teamed up with Tímea Babos, but lost in the first round to Zhang Shuai and John Peers. Dabrowski played alongside Mate Pavić, but lost to Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig in the final, 6–1, 6–7(5–7), [10–8].
Women's doubles were played at the 2019 Dubai Tennis Championships at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The women's tournament took place from 17 to 23 February. Chan Hao-ching and Yang Zhaoxuan were the defending champions, but chose to participate with different partners. Chan played alongside her sister Latisha, but they lost in the semifinals to Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová. Yang partnered Abigail Spears, but lost in the first round to Eugenie Bouchard and Sofia Kenin.
Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig were the defending champions and successfully defended their title, defeating Gabriela Dabrowski and Mate Pavić in a rematch of the 2018 final, 6–1, 7–6(7–5). becoming the first team in the Open era to win back-to-back French Open mixed doubles titles.

Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka defeated Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in the final, 6–2, 6–3, to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was their second major doubles title as a team, after the 2019 US Open. With the win, Sabalenka claimed the world No. 1 doubles ranking.
Two-time defending champion Barbora Krejčíková and her partner Rajeev Ram defeated Samantha Stosur and Matthew Ebden in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was the pair's second major mixed doubles title as a team, after their first at the 2019 Australian Open. They saved a match point en route to the title, in the second round against Ena Shibahara and Ben McLachlan.

Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk defeated Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–1), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was Krawczyk's second consecutive major title in mixed doubles, following her success at the French Open.
Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. By winning the title, Krawczyk and Salisbury received their third and second major mixed doubles title, respectively. Their victory together made Krawczyk the first player to win three consecutive mixed doubles major trophies since Mahesh Bhupathi in 2005 and 2006, and the seventh player in the Open Era to win three mixed doubles titles in a single season. Salisbury became the first man to win both the men's doubles and mixed doubles titles at the US Open in the same year since Bob Bryan in 2010.
Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula defeated Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens in the final, 3–6, 7–5, [10–5] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2022 Qatar Open.
Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jeļena Ostapenko defeated Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Cincinnati Open.
