The 2019 Internazionali Femminili di Palermo was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Country Time Club. It was the 27th edition of the tournament which was part of the 2019 WTA Tour. It took place in Palermo, Italy between 22 and 28 July 2019. The tournament made a return to the WTA Tour after a five-year absence (2014–2018).

It was organised as a lead-up tournament to the 2021 Australian Open, and was held at the same venue, due to other tournaments in Australia being cancelled as a result from the COVID-19 pandemic. This tournament took place simultaneously with the 2021 Gippsland Trophy and the 2021 Grampians Trophy. Players who had originally intended to participate in this tournament or the Gippsland Trophy, but were forced to undergo strict quarantine measures upon arrival in Australia, were able to participate in the 2021 Grampians Trophy. The entry list of 2021 Australian Open was used to determine the entry list of this tournament; with half the players playing the Yarra Valley Classic, and the other half playing the 2021 Gippsland Trophy.

It was the 1st edition of the event and took place at XS Tennis and Education Foundation in Chicago, United States from 27 September to 3 October 2021.
The 2022 WTA Lyon Open was a women's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the third edition of the Lyon Open (WTA) and an International tournament on the 2022 WTA Tour. It took place at the Palais des Sports de Gerland in Lyon, France, from February 28th to March 6th, 2022. During this tournament, the WTA and other international governing bodies of tennis including the ATP did not have players of Russia and Belarus compete under their country's flags as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Defending champion Iga Świątek defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Italian Open. She did not drop a set during the tournament, and was the first player to win the title in Rome without dropping a set since Serena Williams in 2016. This was Świątek's fifth consecutive WTA Tour title, and she became the first player to win four WTA 1000 titles in a single season since Serena Williams in 2013. With the win, Świątek extended her winning streak to 28 matches – the longest on the WTA Tour since Serena Williams won 34 consecutive matches in 2013. This was also the first time in her professional career that Świątek defended a title. Jabeur was attempting to be the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win consecutive titles in Madrid and Rome; she reached the final after being the match point down in her semifinal match against Daria Kasatkina.
Veronika Kudermetova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova defeated reigning champion Giuliana Olmos and partner Gabriela Dabrowski in the final, 1–6, 6–4, [10–7] to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Italian Open.
The 2022 Makarska International Championships, also known as Makarska Open hosted by Valamar, was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the sixteenth edition of the tournament and part of the 2022 WTA 125 tournaments. The previous editions of the tournament were held in Bol as the Croatia Bol Ladies Open but in 2022, the event was relocated to Makarska which once hosted a WTA Tier-IV event in 1998. It took place from 31 May to 5 June 2022.

With the win, they became the first women's pair to complete the career Super Slam in doubles. It was their sixth major title together.

Jessica Pegula defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Guadalajara Open. Pegula defeated four major champions in succession en route to her first WTA 1000 title, and she saved three match points en route, in her second-round match against Elena Rybakina.
Marta Kostyuk defeated Varvara Gracheva in the final, 6–3, 7–5 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 ATX Open. It was her first WTA Tour singles title.
Petra Kvitová defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–6(16–14), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Miami Open. It was Kvitová's first WTA 1000 title since the 2018 Madrid Open, and her 30th career title overall; she also became the first Czech player to win the title. Rybakina was attempting to complete the Sunshine Double, having already won the title at Indian Wells.

It was the 28th edition of the tournament for the men which is part of the 2023 ATP Challenger Tour and 1st edition for the women which is part of the 2023 WTA 125 tournaments. It took place at the Club Deportivo Potosino in San Luis Potosí, Mexico between 27 March and 9 April 2023.
Elena Rybakina won the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Italian Open after Anhelina Kalinina retired from the final with the scoreline at 6–4, 1–0. It was Rybakina's second title of 2023 and second career WTA 1000 title. Rybakina won three of her six matches at the tournament via retirement: over Anna Kalinskaya in the third round, Iga Świątek in the quarterfinals, and Kalinina in the final. With the win, Rybakina entered the top five in the WTA rankings for the first time at world No. 4.
