2022 Little League World Series results

The results of the 2022 Little League World Series were determined between August 17 and August 28, 2022 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Twenty teams were divided into two groups, one with ten teams from the United States and another with ten international teams, with both groups playing a modified double-elimination tournament. In each group, the last remaining undefeated team faced the last remaining team with one loss, with the winners of those games advancing to play for the Little League World Series championship. [1] Hawaii, the United States champions, defeated Curaçao, the international champions, 13-3 to win the 2022 championship, their second title in four years.

Rainout, washout, rain delay, and rain stopped play are terms regarding an outdoor event, generally a sporting event, delayed or canceled due to rain, or the threat of rain. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruption to baseball across the world, mirroring its impact across all sports. Leagues across the world experienced delayed starts, cancelled seasons, limited or no fan attendance, game postponements, and other restrictions in 2020 and 2021. Most leagues, including Major League Baseball, began to transition back to a normal schedule with fan attendance in 2021. Since then, few leagues have widespread restrictions in place, but players may still miss time if they contract the virus.

The 2023 Major League Baseball season is scheduled to begin on March 30, with the regular season planned to end on October 1. The 93rd All-Star Game is scheduled to be played on July 11, hosted by the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. The postseason is scheduled to begin on October 3 and would end with a potential World Series Game 7 on November 4.
