The 1st IKF World Beach Korfball Championship was organized in August 2022 in Nador, Morocco. The event was first scheduled to take place in the summer 2021, but following the covid 19 restrictions, the International Korfball Federation decided to postpone the organisation. [1]

In total 13 countries enlisted to participate in the Championship. The team from Cameroon did not start in the competition.[ citation needed ]

Group stage

Competing countries will be divided into 2 groups of seven teams (groups A to B). Teams in each group played one another in a round-robin basis, with the top four teams of each group advancing to the knockout stage. [2]

Korfball Mixed gender team sport

Korfball is a ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. It is played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball into a netless basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m high pole.

The 7th Korfball World Championship was held in the Netherlands on 2003, with the participation of 16 national teams.

The 1991 Korfball World Championship was the 4th edition of the major international korfball competition. It was held in Belgium on April 2–6, in the cities of Antwerp, Berchem, Brussels, Ghent and Turnhout. In a very close final, Belgium defeated Netherlands by 11–10.

The 10th IKF World Korfball Championship were held in the Belgian cities of Ghent, Tielen and Antwerp in 2015. Ghent and Tielen hosted the first and second round matches, whilst the placing matches and finals were all held in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.

The 2006 World Karate Championships are the 18th edition of the World Karate Championships, and were held in Tampere, Finland from October 12 to October 15, 2006.

Korfball in Wales has been played since 1991 and is managed by the Welsh Korfball Association/Cymdeithas Pêl-Corff Cymru. The association was established in 2002 and the Welsh Korfball Squad was formed in 2005. In 2007, the International Korfball Federation admitted Wales as an associate member.

Korfball at the 2017 World Games

The korfball event at the World Games 2017 took place in Wrocław, Poland.

The 11th IKF World Korfball Championship was held in August 2019 in Durban, South Africa and won by the Netherlands. The International Korfball Federation awarded the hosting rights for the tournament to South Africa on 7 November 2015, ahead of the bid by New Zealand.

The korfball competition at the 2022 World Games took place in July 2022, in Birmingham in United States, at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. Originally scheduled to take place in July 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Philippines national korfball team is the team which represents the Philippines in international korfball competitions. It is sanctioned and managed by the Philippine Korfball Federation.

2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships Artistic gymnastics competition

The 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Liverpool, United Kingdom at the Liverpool Arena, from October 26 - November 6. The United Kingdom previously hosted this event in 1993 (Birmingham), 2009 (London) and 2015 (Glasgow).

The 2021 European Korfball A-Championship will be held in Belgium from 25 to 30 October 2021. Matches will be played in Antwerp. It will be the second edition where the European Korfball Championship is split into an A-Championship and a B-Championship. The tournament will serve as a qualifier for the 2023 IKF World Korfball Championship.

Korfball Federation of Armenia Sports organization of Armenia

The Korfball Federation of Armenia (KFA), is the regulating body of korfball in Armenia, governed by the Armenian Olympic Committee. The headquarters of the federation is located in Yerevan.
