The 2023 Asian U18 Athletics Championships was the fifth edition of the biennial, continental athletics competition for Asian athletes aged 15 to 17. It was held at the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 27 to 30 April 2023. [1] [2]

Mirjalol Kushakovich Qosimov is a former head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team. He also played for the national team as a playmaker in midfield. Qosimov is currently the manager of AGMK.

The 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup was the 41st edition of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-20 national teams of Asia. This edition is the first to be played as an under-20 tournament, as the AFC proposed to switch the tournament from under-19 to under-20 starting from 2023. Moreover, the tournament was also rebranded from the "AFC U-19 Championship" to the "AFC U-20 Asian Cup". Sharifa Davronova is an Uzbek track and field athlete specializing in the triple jump. She is a member of the Uzbekistan national athletics team. She has won multiple national championships in Uzbekistan and has also been the champion of the Uzbekistan Cup. Additionally, she has secured victory at the World U20 Athletics Championships and the Asian U18 Athletics Championships. In 2022, she claimed a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games, and in 2023, she won the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships and the Summer Asian Games.

The 2023 IIHF U18 Asia and Oceania Championship was an international men's under-18 ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place between 11–17 March, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and was the first under-18 edition held since 2012. Uzbekistan placed first after winning all five of their games, while Turkmenistan finished second and Mongolia third. This was the first time that Uzbekistan had participated in any IIHF tournament and the first international ice hockey event ever hosted by Mongolia.
