The 2023 Big 12 Conference softball tournament was held at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from May 11 to May 13, 2023. As the tournament winner, Oklahoma earned the Big 12 Conference's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I softball tournament. [2]
All seven teams were seeded based on conference winning percentage. They then played a single-elimination tournament, with the top seed receiving a single bye.

It was played from March 10 to 13, in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center. The winner received the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA tournament. Texas defeated Oklahoma State in the championship to earn their first Big 12 Tournament Championship and third Conference tournament Championship overall. Texas became the first school that was not a member of the Big Eight Conference to win the tournament.

The conference will increase to have 16 schools in that season, as Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah will join the Big 12, respectively from the Pac-12 Conference.
