The 2023 Electronic Dance Music Awards (or EDMAs) celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene, chosen by the public on EDMAs official website. [1] The full list of nominees were announced on February 27, 2023, and the ceremony took place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach coinciding with the first day of Ultra Music Festival, on March 24, 2023. [2] [3] A bevy of the nation's top radio stations broadcast the event both on-air and online on the same day, and iHeartRadio’s Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton hosted the event. [4] [5] [6] VASSY was honored with the EDMA Icon Award, becoming the first woman to receive the award. [7] Joel Corry was the most nominated act, and the big winner of the ceremony, taking three awards out of eleven nominations. [8]

Showtek is a Dutch electronic dance music duo consisting of two brothers from Eindhoven, Wouter Janssen. and Sjoerd Janssen. The duo regularly manages to reach the top of multiple music charts and work with artists such as Tiësto, Chris Brown and David Guetta. Showtek was ranked 17th in the Top 100 DJs list of 2014 but by the magazine's 2016 list, they had dropped to 96th. The brothers, who have been musically active since 2001, also offer podcasts on their own radio show on the music streaming service iTunes.

The Buma Export Award was a prize given to the Dutch artists who sold the most records abroad between 1972 and 2011. In 2013, this prize was replaced by the Buma ROCKS! Export Award that focused on rock artists and the Buma Award Internationaal. The latter award is presented yearly during the Buma Awards ceremony.

Nick Leonardus van de Wall, known professionally as Afrojack, is a Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer. In 2007, he founded the record label Wall Recordings; his debut album Forget the World was released in 2014. Afrojack regularly features as one of the ten best artists in the Top 100 DJs published by DJ Mag. He is also the CEO of LDH Europe.

This is the discography of Dutch DJ and record producer Afrojack. His song "Take Over Control", which features Dutch singer Eva Simons, charted in 10 different countries. He released his debut EP Lost & Found on December 22, 2010. In 2011, he was featured on Pitbull's number 1 hit single "Give Me Everything" along with Ne-Yo and Nayer. He also contributed to the single "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé, who initially did not include his credits on the track but was eventually forced to do so after Afrojack filed a case against her. His debut album, Forget the World, was released on 16 May 2014.

"Hey Mama" is a song recorded by French record producer David Guetta featuring Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, American singer Bebe Rexha and co-production by Dutch record producer Afrojack. The song was released on 16 March 2015, as the fourth single from Guetta's sixth studio album, Listen (2014). It was produced by David Guetta, Afrojack, and Giorgio Tuinfort, who also wrote the song with Rexha, Minaj, Ester Dean, and Sean Douglas. American ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax is also credited as a writer, as the track samples his recording of "Rosie", a field holler sung by an Afro-American chain gang at the Mississippi State Penitentiary.

"I'm Good (Blue)" is a song by French DJ and producer David Guetta and American singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha. Produced by the former alongside Timofey Reznikov, it was written by the artists alongside Kamille and Plested, with additional writing credits going to Jeffrey Jey, Massimo Gabutti, and Maurizio Lobina, as the song is a reworking of Italian group Eiffel 65's single "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" (1998). Marking the artists' fourth collaboration, it was released for digital download and streaming in various countries by What a DJ and Warner on 26 August 2022. The song is included on Rexha's third studio album, Bebe (2023). Despite working on the song in 2017 with no intention to release it, the artists were prompted to complete the song in 2022, after a snippet of it gained extensive popularity on social media. It is an upbeat dance-pop song that channels Rexha's excitement for a long clubbing night and the potential of an unforgettable night. The song was met with a warm reception from music critics for its lyrics, sound and collaboration between Guetta and Rexha. It is composed in the key of G minor with a tempo of 128.

The awards celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene, chosen by the public on EDMAs official website. The full list of nominees were announced on February 19, 2024. On March 21, was announced that Mark Knight was honored with the EDMA Icon Award, and on March 31, Deadmau5 was awarded with the EDMA Legend Award.

Florent Hugel, known professionally as Hugel, is a French DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is best known for his remix of "Bella Ciao", which became a viral hit in 2018, and his original track "Morenita", which helped popularize the Latin house genre. Hugel has collaborated with and remixed tracks for numerous high-profile artists, including David Guetta, Robin Schulz, and J Balvin.

The 2022 Electronic Dance Music Awards, celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene of the year. Previously known as the Radio Remix Awards, the awards re-branded themselves as a completely fan-voted award show with the name Electronic Dance Music Awards covering more EDM genres.
