The 2022 Electronic Dance Music Awards (also known as EDMAs), celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene of the year. Previously known as the Radio Remix Awards, the awards re-branded themselves as a completely fan-voted award show with the name Electronic Dance Music Awards covering more EDM genres. [1]

It was the first time since 2019, that the awards were hold following the two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

The winners were announced on June 2022. [3] [4] Tiësto, Fat Tony and Rivas were the most awarded acts of the ceremony, with two awards each, meanwhile Tiësto and Diplo were the most nominated with six nods each. [5]

Tiësto's fame started to rise in the late 1990s after his set at the first ID&T Innercity party, and it continued to skyrocket in the early 2000s following his six-hour "Tiësto Solo" sets, which he performed without any other DJs or opening acts. His last three full-length releases broke the 70,000-unit mark, and the 2003 DJ mix Nyana hit 87,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan in mid-2008.

In 2016, he was ranked the number one Future House Artist of the Year on Beatport.

Zeds Dead is a Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto, Canada, consisting of Dylan Mamid, also known as DC, and Zachary Rapp-Rovan, also known as Hooks. The duo rose to prominence releasing original music and remixes from 2009 to 2010 before becoming a staple on the international touring circuit thereafter. They explore a diverse variety of genres that combine aspects of dubstep, UK garage, house, electro house, hip-hop, glitch, drum and bass, and more.

Good Times Ahead are an electronic music duo from Miami consisting of house, electro house, trap and hip hop producers Julio Mejia and Matt Toth. After releasing music with the support of Laidback Luke in 2011, the duo caught the attention of Diplo, who featured them on his 2012 "Express Yourself" which was written by their cousin Joel Santillan. GTA has released music on labels such as Warner Bros., A-Trak's Fool's Gold, Laidback Luke's MixMash, Steve Angello's SIZE, Diplo's Mad Decent and more. They've toured the globe with Rihanna on her 2013 Diamonds World Tour, with Calvin Harris and Tiësto on their Greater Than World Tour, and have headlined their own Death To Genres Tour and Goons Take America Tours.

Nathassia Devine is a Dutch electronic music artist, DJ, singer and songwriter from Gouda, South Holland, currently residing in London, UK. Nathassia made music history by being the first electronic music artist to perform at the Luxor Temple in Egypt at the Nefertiti International Fashion Festival in April 2016, organised by Mona al Mansouri. Nathassia is known and praised for being an ambassador for multiculturalism and has according to leading electronic dance music magazine We Rave You perfectly emulated the ideology of Multiculturalism via her own music. Since lockdown in 2020 Nathassia has hosted Goddess Is A DJ, a weekly radio show which is broadcast to millions listeners in more than 31 countries including Digitally Imported Radio. DJmag said about her radio and live shows: "Nathassia takes the listener on a musical journey with many emotional twists and epic moments in order to discover a range of multicultural sounds and genres of electronic dance music". Her singles "Change The World, "In My Head", "Rainmaker" and "Lair" were playlisted on Club MTV and MTV Dance International highest chart position at number 9 in Club MTV's Big 20. Her latest single "Guardian Angel" charted at number 3 in the UK Dance chart.

Raven & Kreyn is a French electronic music duo of disc jockeys and producers. Consisting of Alexandre Abescat and Tom Mokrane, Raven & Kreyn started in 2013. The duo signed on notable labels such as Spinnin' Records, Armada Music, Universal Music, Warner Music, Atlantic Records, Big Beat Records, Ministry Of Sound Australia, Hexagon and NoCopyrightSounds.

Pablo Rindt, professionally known as Maddix, is a Dutch electronic dance music DJ and producer.

Richard Cook Mears IV, better known as Nitti Gritti is a Miami based record producer, DJ and vocalist. His collaboration with Party Favor as Sidepiece, a music duo group, was nominated for a Grammy in 2021 under Best Dance Recording segment for their 2019 single "On My Mind" featuring Diplo. He is known for collaborating and working with Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, DJ Snake, Shaquille O'Neal, Tiesto, Diplo, Ookay, Jimmy Levy, Shndō, etc. In 2019, His single "200 MPH" with Diplo won a Latin Grammy, which was on Bad Bunny's album X 100PRE.

The Paradise Again World Tour was the fourth concert tour by Swedish supergroup Swedish House Mafia, in support of their 2022 album, Paradise Again. The tour originally had 44 dates, some of which were cancelled, though the band also added three dates to the tour, and moved a show from MetLife Stadium to Madison Square Garden, as well as adding a 2nd date at MSG, one of which was cancelled.

Öwnboss, the stage name of Eduardo Fornasa Zaniolo, is a Brazilian electronic dance music producer and DJ from Florianópolis, Santa Catarina.

The Electronic Dance Music Awards is an annual music award event focusing across most all electronic dance music genres. The awards are given out across a variety of categories including Song of the Year in Dance, Tech, House and Bass genres, Best Male and Female Artist, Best Collaboration, Remix of the Year, Best New Artist, Club DJ Of the Year, and Vocalist of the Year, among many others. The EDMAs are known as a star-studded affair, featuring a slew of leading DJs, music producers, international press and others comprising the industry's corps d'elite. The 2024 Electronic Dance Music Awards ceremony was held on March 22, 2024, at the Eden Roc Hotel at the height of Miami Music Week. A bevy of the nation's top radio stations broadcast the event both on-air and online on the same day. The awards celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene, chosen by the public on EDMAs official website. The full list of nominees were announced on February 19, 2024. On March 21, was announced that Mark Knight was honored with the EDMA Icon Award, and on March 31, Deadmau5 was awarded with the EDMA Legend Award.

The 2023 Electronic Dance Music Awards celebrated the very best songs, artists, festivals and more from the global electronic dance music scene, chosen by the public on EDMAs official website. The full list of nominees were announced on February 27, 2023, and the ceremony took place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach coinciding with the first day of Ultra Music Festival, on March 24, 2023. A bevy of the nation's top radio stations broadcast the event both on-air and online on the same day, and iHeartRadio’s Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton hosted the event. VASSY was honored with the EDMA Icon Award, becoming the first woman to receive the award. Joel Corry was the most nominated act, and the big winner of the ceremony, taking three awards out of eleven nominations.

Florent Hugel, known professionally as Hugel, is a French DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is best known for his remix of "Bella Ciao", which became a viral hit in 2018, and his original track "Morenita", which helped popularize the Latin house genre. Hugel has collaborated with and remixed tracks for numerous high-profile artists, including David Guetta, Robin Schulz, and J Balvin.
