The 2023 European Open is a men's tennis tournament currently played on indoor hard courts. It is the eighth edition of the European Open and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2023 ATP Tour. It takes place at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium, from 16 October until 22 October 2023. [1]

The 2021 Estoril Open is a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It is the 6th edition of the tournament and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2021 ATP Tour. It tames place at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril in Cascais, Portugal, from 26 April through 2 May 2021. Seventh-seeded Albert Ramos Viñolas won the singles title.

Albert Ramos Viñolas defeated Cameron Norrie in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Estoril Open. It marked his third career ATP Tour singles title, all of which have been on clay. Norrie was aiming to win his first ATP Tour title in his second final.

Rafael Nadal defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 7–5, 1–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Italian Open. It was his record-extending 10th Italian Open title and record-equaling 36th Masters 1000 title overall. Nadal saved two match points en route to the title, in his third round match against Denis Shapovalov. This was also the fourth time that Nadal had won a tournament on 10 or more occasions, making him the only tennis player with the feat.
