27After over 25 years on the air, Teletoon rebranded to Cartoon Network Canada. The existing Cartoon Network channel was concurrently relaunched as Boomerang Canada. The Teletoon branding continues to be used for the Teletoon+ streaming service and its French-language feed.

27 Eastlink removes the specialty channels owned by Corus Entertainment, after being unable to reach a carriage agreement. Corus said that other TV service providers will continue to carry their specialty channels.

31 Natyf TV, a channel which had operated since 2018 as a discretionary service with little distribution outside of Montreal, is granted a must-carry order ensuring that it will be available on all cable distribution services in Quebec. [2]

The Donald Brittain Award is a Canadian television award, presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to honour the year's best television documentary on a social or political topic. Formerly presented as part of the Gemini Awards, since 2013 it has been presented as part of the Canadian Screen Awards. The award may be presented to either a standalone broadcast of a documentary film, or to an individual full-length episode of a news or documentary series; documentary films which originally premiered theatrically, but were not already submitted for consideration in a CSA film category before being broadcast on television, are also considered television films for the purposes of the award.

Mary Berg is a Canadian television host, author and cook, who rose to fame as the winner of the third season of MasterChef Canada. She has been the host of two television cooking shows, Mary's Kitchen Crush and Mary Makes It Easy, and the daytime talk show, The Good Stuff with Mary Berg. She has released three cookbooks, Kitchen Party,Well Seasoned and In Mary's Kitchen.

Children Ruin Everything is a Canadian television sitcom, that premiered on CTV on January 12, 2022. Created by Kurt Smeaton for CTV, and originally Roku and later The CW, and co-produced by New Metric Media and Bell Media Studios, the series focuses on Astrid and James, a young couple struggling to define their lives outside of their role as parents.

Pretty Hard Cases is a Canadian police procedural crime comedy-drama television series that premiered on CBC Television on February 3, 2021. Originally announced with the working title Lady Dicks, the series was created by Tassie Cameron and Sherry White. In March 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on January 5, 2022. IMDb TV became official co-producer for the series' second season, with the second season released on IMDb TV on April 22, 2022. In June 2022, at CBC's upfronts announcement event, the show was renewed for a third season, with Amazon Freevee still committed and on board to co-fund, co-produce and broadcast in the United States. Season 3 premiered on January 4, 2023 on CBC and CBC Gem in Canada, and on November 29 on Freevee.

Kyle Brownrigg is a Canadian stand-up comedian, most noted for winning the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2024 for his comedy album A Lylebility.

Courtney Gilmour is a Canadian stand-up comedian, whose performances centre on her experiences as a congenital triple amputee. She is most noted as the joint winner with D.J. Mausner of the annual Homegrown Comics competition for emerging Canadian comedians at the 2017 Just for Laughs festival.

The 2022–23 network television schedule for the five major English commercial broadcast networks in Canada covers primetime hours from September 2022 through August 2023. The schedule is followed by a list per network of returning series, new series, and series canceled after the 2021–22 television season, for Canadian, American, and other series. CBC was first to announce its fall schedule on June 1, 2022, followed by Citytv on June 7, 2022, Global on June 8, 2022, and CTV and CTV 2 on June 9, 2022. CBC was first to announce its Winter schedule on November 30, 2022, Global on December 8, 2022, Citytv on December 14, 2022 and CTV on December 16, 2022. Global was first to announce its Summer schedule on May 1, 2023. Yes TV and Omni Television are not included as member television stations have local flexibility over most of their schedules. CTV 2 is not included on Saturday as it normally only schedules encore programming in primetime on Saturdays.

The DGC Allan King Award for Best Documentary Film is an annual Canadian award, presented by the Directors Guild of Canada to honour the year's best direction in documentary films in Canada. The award was renamed in 2010 to honour influential Canadian documentarian Allan King following his death in 2009. Individual episodes of documentary television series have occasionally been nominated for the award, although nominees and winners are usually theatrical documentary films.

<i>Thunder Bay</i> (TV series) Canadian documentary television series

Thunder Bay is a Canadian 4-part documentary television series that premiered February 17, 2023 on Crave. Adapted from Ryan McMahon's 2018 Canadaland podcast Thunder Bay, the series explores the deaths of indigenous teenagers in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Black Life: Untold Stories is a Canadian television documentary series, premiered on CBC Television on October 18, 2023. Created by Leslie Norville, the eight-episode series profiles Black Canadian history.

Evolving Vegan is a Canadian food travelogue television series, which premiered in 2023 on CTV Life. Hosted by actor Mena Massoud and based in part on his own previously published vegan cookbook of the same name, the series features Massoud travelling to various cities to meet with vegan chefs who are building reputations as leaders and innovators in vegan cuisine.

Kurt Smeaton is a Canadian television writer and producer from Ottawa, Ontario, most noted for his work on Kim's Convenience, Schitt's Creek and Children Ruin Everything.
