Aakash is a 2005 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by Mahesh Babu, written by Janardhana Maharshi and produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar. The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar, alongside Ramya, Ashish Vidyarthi, Kishore and Avinash. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik, while cinematography and ediring were handled by Prasad Babu and S. Manohar.
At the Karnataka State Film Awards, the film won the Best Editor award for S. Manohar.
Aakash, a practical person working in various job fields, meets Nandini, a woman from rich background. Aakash and Nandini become friends and Nandini gets attracted to Aakash, but Aakash considers Nandini as her friend. However, Nandini's brothers Dayananda and Chidananda misunderstands Aakash to be in love with Nandini and begins to create havoc in Aakash's life, where Aakash loses his job and gets attacked. Aakash's sister Asha's engagement with Vishal gets broken due to Chidananda, who humiliates Asha.
Enraged, Aakash thrashes Dayananda and Chidananda in their house, which makes the duo determined to kill Aakash. Nandini leaves for Hubli for her friend's wedding, where Dayananda and Chidananda uses this opportunity to kill Aakash, but they find Aakash catching the train compartment in which Nandini is onboard. Dayananda and Chidananda hires hitmen to kill Aakash in the compartment as they believe that Aakash will follow Nandini, but Aakash left the compartment and Nandini is followed by a person named Devu.
The hitmen secretly attacks Devu and kills him. Aakash's purpose of arriving in Hubli is to convince Vishal's parents to reaccept Vishal and Asha's relationship. Nandini makes Vishal's parents to accept the relationship. Aakash thanks Nandini for her help, but declines her proposal as Nandini is from a rich family. Aakash takes Nandini back to her house and clears the misunderstandings with Dayananda and Chidananda. Nandini accepts the wedding proposal of her brother's choice and Chidananda hires Aakash as the wedding videographer on Nandini's request.
On the wedding day, Devu's father, who learnt that Dayananda and Chidananda are behind his son's death, tries to marry Nandini so that Devu will be reborn again. However, Aakash thrashes Devu's father and saves Nandini. Later, Chidananda and Dayananda request Aakash to marry Nandini. Aakash finally agrees, where he marries Nandini. Asha and Vishal also marry.
The film marked the directorial debut of Mahesh Babu who earlier assisted Vijay Reddy, Kishore Sarja and M. S. Ramesh. [1]

R. P. Patnaik composed the film's background score and music for its soundtrack. [2] The album consists of seven tracks. [3] Lyrics for the 5 tracks were penned by K. Kalyan. And other 2 tracks, "Habba Habba" and "Hodi Hodi" penned by Sri Ranga and V. Nagendra Prasad respectively. The songs "Neene Neene" and "Aaha Entha Aa Kshana" became popular upon the audio release.

A critic from Sify wrote that "Akash is a clean family entertainer from the home production of Dr Rajkumar, the icon of Kannada cinema. Compared to his earlier four films, Puneeth Rajkumar has worked hard in this love story which has a message for the youth of today". [4] A critic from Rediff.com wrote that "Akash is certainly an enjoyable film. Puneet's performance and Ramya's glamourous [sic] screen presence will remain in your memory for a long time". [5]
Sify wrote, "This will be Puneeth’s biggest hit as in Mysore, Bangalore and Hubli, Akash is getting 95 percent collections right from the day of its release. Puneeth is a happy man and is surprised at the collection figures. Meanwhile Apthamitra collections have come down as two films Akash and Chandramukhi is taking over." Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, affectionately known as Appu, was an Indian film actor, playback singer, film producer, television presenter and philanthropist who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of legendary actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.
Petla "Puri" Jagannadh is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer, who works primarily in the Telugu film Industry. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu film Badri starring Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai and Ameesha Patel. In 2006, he directed the Telugu film Pokiri, premiered at the 7th IIFA Film Festival held in Dubai. Kunal Ganjawala is an Indian playback singer whose songs are mostly featured in Hindi and Kannada films. He has also sung in Marathi, Bengali and other official languages of India. Kunal began his career by singing jingles. He came to limelight in Hindi cinema with the song "Bheege Honth Tere" from the film Murder in 2004. It was his first biggest hit. The song earned him Zee Cine Award as Best Playback Singer in 2005. He came to limelight in Kannada cinema with the song "Neene Neene" from the film Aakash in 2005.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Silambarasan and Trisha. Jointly produced by Elred Kumar, Jayaraman, VTV Ganesh and P. Madan under the banner Escape Artists Motion Pictures and RS Infotainment, the film was distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The story was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Ye Maaya Chesave, starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, however, with a different cast.
Arasu (Search/King) is a 2007 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by Mahesh Babu. It features Puneeth Rajkumar in the title role as the son of a business tycoon who leaves his inherited wealth to make a living on his own upon being rejected by a girl played by Ramya who he proposes to in marriage. When a middle-class girl played by Meera Jasmine enters their lives, it soon turns out to be a love triangle. Srinivasa Murthy, Komal and Adi Lokesh appear in supporting roles. Kannada film actors Darshan and Aditya made cameo appearance. Actress Shriya Saran also made a cameo appearance in the film, her first Kannada language film. The movie was dubbed in Hindi as Zinda Dili and in Marathi as Premachi Satva Pariksha.

The film deals with the life of a last generation princess and her love story. The film was released on 27 June 2013 to positive reviews and emerged as a high success at the Kannada Box office. The Tamil version of the film was released on 14 February 2014.
Power is a 2014 Indian masala film directed by K. Madesh and features Puneeth Rajkumar and Trisha in lead roles, alongside Prabhu, Kelly Dorjee, Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2011 Telugu film Dookudu which itself was inspired by the 2003 German tragicomedy film Good Bye, Lenin!. The story revolves around Bharath Kumar (Puneeth), a police officer who’s pursuing underworld don Naik (Kelly), who operates from Spain and Mumbai. Naik and his henchmen had tried to kill Bharath’s father Krishna Prasad (Prabhu), an honest MLA and a staunch follower of late actor Rajkumar. Circumstances force Bharath to act as an MLA, a reality show director and a cop, three roles which he portrays with finesse. While in Spain, Bharath falls in love with Prashanthi (Trisha). But how he plans to eliminate Naik and company forms the mainstay of the plot.

Nayagi is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language family drama series. It premiered on 19 February 2018 on Sun TV, replacing Deivamagal, and was replaced by Anbe Vaa and it ended on 31 October 2020. The show was produced by Vikatan Televistas Pvt Ltd and directed by S Kumaran. Nayagi was also re-aired on Kalaignar TV from 1 March 2021 to 9 July 2022.
