Aaron Loeb is an American video game executive and playwright. Loeb is best known as President of FoxNext Studios in Los Angeles, California, overseeing the development of mobile games based on the Avatar and Marvel Cinematic Universe intellectual properties. Loeb joined FoxNext through the acquisition of Aftershock, which was a holding company for the LA studio of Kabam (a mobile video game company that was sold off in pieces in 2017). "Ideation" has been performed in multiple cities including San Francisco and New York and won the Will Glickman Award for best new play to premiere in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013. FoxNext is a video game, virtual reality and theme park division announced in January 2017 by 20th Century Fox. It operates under Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, which is ultimately owned by The Walt Disney Company. Prior to Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, it was operated under Twentieth Century Fox Film and the Fox Networks Group. FoxNext is focused on next generation storytelling, and was created in response to the success of the mobile game The Simpsons: Tapped Out and the PC game Alien: Isolation and the growing opportunity with virtual reality as ways to create revenue from their existing properties. It will handle development and publishing of video games, virtual reality and augmented reality titles, as well as the development of 20th Century Fox's theme and amusement parks, including 20th Century Fox World (Malaysia). The division's president is Salil Mehta, a former executive from NBCUniversal and The Walt Disney Company, who has been with Fox since 2013 who later returned to Disney after Disney acquired Fox in 2019.
Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction film directed, written, produced, and co-edited by James Cameron, and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver. The film's title refers to a genetically engineered Na'vi body operated from the brain of a remotely located human that is used to interact with the natives of Pandora. During its theatrical run, the film broke several box office records and became the highest-grossing film of all time, as well as in the United States and Canada, surpassing Cameron's Titanic, which had held those records for twelve years.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes comic books, short films, television series, and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters. Phil Coulson, portrayed by Clark Gregg, is an original character to the MCU and the only character to appear across all its different media.
Loeb joined the small game developer Planet Moon Studios as a producer in 2001. He eventually became Chief Operating Officer and then CEO. BigPoint Games absorbed Planet Moon's staff in 2011 after Planet Moon ran into financial problems and was subsequently embroiled in legal action as the wronged party in a dispute over payment. [14] [15] Loeb joined Electronic Arts that same year as the General Manager of the San Francisco office of Playfish (a social game publisher previously acquired by EA). Loeb eventually rose to become Vice President and Group General Manager at Electronic Arts, overseeing development on mobile games including the break-out hit The Simpsons: Tapped Out . [16]

Loeb presided over the development and launch of the mobile game Marvel: Contest of Champions , Kabam's biggest hit. In 2015 Loeb became President of Studios after Nick Earl left Kabam.

As of August 2016, he is reported to own approximately US$11 million of EA shares.

John Schappert is an American video game executive and entrepreneur. Schappert is best known for co-founding Tiburon Entertainment with Jason Andersen and Steve Chiang in 1994. He is the Chairman of Motorsport Games, a Motorsport Network's esport platform. Schappert is also known for his tenure as Zynga's Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2012. Before joining Zynga, Schappert served as the Chief Operating Officer of Electronic Arts from 2009 to 2011. He also oversaw Xbox Live and Microsoft Game Studios as a Corporate Vice President of Microsoft from 2007 to 2009. Schappert most recently founded Shiver Entertainment in 2013.
