ADBOWL is an American website that tracks what consumers think of the commercials that air during major television events such as the Super Bowl and the Academy Awards. It was launched in 2001 by Albuquerque, New Mexico advertising agency McKee Wallwork + Co.
Historically, voters rated each commercial on a multi-point scale. Participants voted the day of the event to decide the winning (and losing) commercials, but visitors to the site could rate the commercials throughout the year and see how their ratings compared to those of the winning ads. Results were typically presented in several categories, including Top 10 Overall, Women's Choice, Men's Choice, Ages under 17, and Ages 18+, with other categories tracked as appropriate (such as political party during election years). All demographic information participants are asked to submit was optional.
In recent years, ADBOWL has ranked the ads by tracking their popularity on the Internet and in social media.

The idea for ADBOWL began when McKee Wallwork Henderson (as it was then known) hosted a Super Bowl commercials party and handed out paper ballots so guests could vote on what they thought were the best commercials that year, according to founder and agency president Steve McKee. The website was launched the following year. ADBOWL has been featured in major publications including The New York Times . [1]
In February 2010, McKee Wallwork + Co. launched an ADBOWL app for the iPhone. [2] [3]

Doritos is an American brand of flavored tortilla chips produced since 1964 by Frito-Lay, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PepsiCo. The original Doritos were not flavored. Super Bowl XLIV was an American football game between the National Football Conference (NFC) champions New Orleans Saints and the American Football Conference (AFC) champions Indianapolis Colts to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2009 season. The Saints defeated the Colts by a score of 31–17, earning their first Super Bowl win. The game was played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, for the fifth time, on February 7, 2010, the latest calendar date for a Super Bowl yet.

The how-to content is created in-house, through its Emerging Filmmakers Program, media content partners and individual contributors . Its Emerging Filmmakers Program allows emerging filmmakers to apply to make videos for Howcast.com and are compensated by receiving $50 a video and 50% of the advertising revenue generated from videos that generate over 40,000 views.
iAd is a discontinued mobile advertising platform developed by Apple Inc. for its iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad line of mobile devices allowing third-party developers to directly embed advertisements into their applications. Announced on April 8, 2010, iAd is part of Apple's iOS 4, originally slated for release on June 21, 2010, the actual date was changed to July 1, 2010. iAd was announced at Apple's June 7, 2010 keynote, with an iPad version appearing in the fall. Hosted and sold by Apple, the iAd platform was expected to compete with Google's AdMob mobile advertising service.

The Crash the Super Bowl contest was an annual online commercial competition run by Frito-Lay. Consumers were invited to create their own Doritos ads and each year, at least one fan-made commercial was guaranteed to air during the Super Bowl. In later editions of the contest, Doritos offered bonus prizes ranging from $400,000 to $1,000,000. Eight editions of the Crash the Super Bowl commercial contest were held between 2006 and 2016 and, during that time, fans submitted more than 36,000 entries.
