Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, India, at the Yelahanka Air Force Station. It is organised by the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Ministry of Defence. [3]
The Ministry of Defence, Indian Air Force, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Department of Space, Defence Exhibition Organisation, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry and other such organisations organise the Aero India show. [4] [5] [6]
The first edition of the air show was held in 1996. [7] Subsequently, the Aero India has emerged as a significant military aviation exhibitions.[ citation needed ] The Mikoyan MiG-35 and F-16IN Super Viper were unveiled for the first time at the 6th and 7th editions of Aero India respectively. [4] [5]
The 15th and the most recent edition of the Aero India was held from 10 to 14 February 2025. The theme of the event is "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities". While only business visitors will be allowed on the first three days of the event, general public will have a chance to visit and enjoy the air shows on the last two days. [8]
