Background and promotion

On January 17, 2025, it was announced that Yeji was preparing for her solo debut. [1] [2] On February 10, JYP Entertainment released a trailer for Yeji's debut solo EP, Air, with the release date set for March 10. [3] [4] [5] The track list was soon after released announcing "Air" as the lead single.
