Amar Prithibi (Bengali : আমার পৃথিবী) is the debut studio album by Bangladeshi alternative rock band Black, released in 2002 by G-Series. [1] [2] According to the record label, the album has sold over 300,000 copies. [2] Years later and following the release of further albums, its songs "Amar Prithibi", "Amra", "Obhiman", "Prarthonad", and "Miththa" remained some of Black's most popular compositions with fans, according to journalists at The Daily Star and The Business Standard . Black's first released song, "Chena Dukkho", appeared on the mixed album Chharpotro in 2000. Its success led to a record contract. [4]
In 2001, the band began working on a full-scale album at Isha Khan Duray and Imran Ahmed Chowdhury Mobin's studio Sound Garden. The album contains mostly songs written by the band during the earliest stages of their formation. The album was recorded across three different studios in Dhaka.[ citation needed ]
The sitar in the title track was played by the band's guitarist Jahan. [3] The intro of the opening track "Amra" a music box was recorded which played the intro of "Für Elise".[ citation needed ]
The cover photo was taken by Khademul Mushfeque Jahan's elder brother, Khademul Insan. [3]

Shironamhin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 14 April 1996. Following as a rock group emerging from Dhaka's underground music in the late 1990s, they were distinguished for their extended psychedelic and progressive compositions, multi-instrumental experimentation, and philosophical lyrics and became one of the leading band of the Bengali progressive rock genre. আবার (Again) is the third studio album by Bangladeshi rock band Black, released on July 10, 2008. After a full five-year hiatus the band released the album under the sponsorship of Warid Telecom. A gala was held for the album's release at Dhaka's Bashundhara City shopping mall, with the band performing various songs from the album with collaborations from other notable artists. The album was said to have sold 5,000 copies three hours after launch and is considered to be Black's most critically acclaimed album and a landmark record for the rock music scene of Bangladesh.

Tahsan Rahman Khan is a Bangladeshi musician and actor. He was the former keyboardist and second vocalist of the Grunge and Alternative rock band Black. Currently he is the lead singer of his own band called Tahsan and the Band.
Talaash is the second studio album of the Pakistani sufi rock band Junoon, released on September 3, 1993. The album was to be their first with bassist Brian O'Connell, who joined the band after Nusrat Hussain departed from the band to pursue his career as a solo artist and released his debut album Amrit in 1992. This was also the first Junoon album produced by Salman Ahmad and O'Connell, both also went on releasing several other albums by Junoon before O'Connell left the band after Dewaar in 2003. They are one of the most reputed EDM artist in the mainstream Bangladeshi music industry. Apart from Bangladesh, they also left their footprint in the Bollywood scene where they worked on many film songs and singles. They kicked off their career with their debut track “Bijoyer Shopno” back in 2014 with various artists. They produced "Bhalobeshe Niruddeshe" (2016) & "Cholona Harai" (2017) for Tahsan. Some of their notable Bollywood music production are with Amaal Mallik, Armaan Malik & Arko Pravo Mukherjee. In October 2019, "Ishqam" was released by Mika Singh and Ali Quli Mirza and it was entirely composed and produced by Apeiruss. "Ishqam" since gathered around 230 million views on Youtube.
Bangladeshi heavy metal or Bangla heavy metal was originated from the evolution of British and American heavy metal bands of the 1980s. Bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Megadeth have had the greatest influences on Bangladeshi heavy metal musicians. Other 1970s bands to influence are bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Motörhead. The first bands to play heavy metal in Bangladesh were bands like Warfaze and Rockstrata. The most prominent era for heavy metal movement was between the early 1990s to early 2000s. Warfaze, Rockstrata, Aces and in Dhaka are often considered as the "big four founders of heavy metal". Other 2000s metal bands are bands like Artcell, Aurthohin, Cryptic Fate, Powersurge, Mechanix, Metal Maze, Vibe and Stentorian. Alternative bands like Nemesis, Arbovirus and Black also played some alternative metal songs over the years. Warfaze, Artcell and Aurthohin together are the most popular rock/metal trio of Bangladesh.
Black Hour, often stylized as Blackhour, is a Pakistani progressive rock band from Islamabad, founded in 2007 by guitarist Hashim Mehmood. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on four members for more than a decade: Hashim Mehmood, drummer Daim Mehmood, bassist Salman Afzal and lead vocalist Tayyab Rehman. Black Hour has consistently incorporated progressive, folk, classical, and alternative influences into its compositions, as well as strong influences from heavy metal, especially in their early works.
