Ana Rita Contreras Sosa (born July 31, 1984), also known as Dominicana Prestigiosa is a Dominican architecture and beauty pageant titleholder.

She was born in and grew up in Bayaguana, Monte Plata, Dominican Republic. In Miss Dominican Republic 2006 she represented the province of Barahona, placing 13th in the preliminaries. Although she failed to make the top ten, she won the special Miss Communication award. She represented Monte Plata in Miss Dominican Republic 2009, placing as first runner-up. When Miss Mundo Dominicana 2009 was cancelled due to lack of funds and sponsors, she was selected to be the representative of the Dominican Republic at Miss World 2009, [1] where she did not place. Contreras is a summa cum laude graduate with honors in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana de Santo Domingo, and a graduate of the modeling academy "The Femme Elegant". She studied for her master's degree at Columbia University of New York City.

The first runner up represented the Dominican Republic in Miss América Latina 2008.

The Reina Nacional de Belleza Miss República Dominicana 2006 pageant was held on October 17, 2005. Only 22 candidates competed for the national crown. The chosen winner represented the Dominican Republic at the Miss International 2006 pageant which was held in Tokyo. The first runner up represented the country in Miss Mesoamerica. The second runner up represented the country in Reina Nacional del Café. The third runner up represented the country in Miss Atlantico. The Miss Mundo Dominicana 2008 pageant was held on July 27, 2008. This year only 16 candidates were competing for the national crown. The chosen winner will represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss World 2008. The first runner up will represent the Dominican Republic in Miss America Latina 2009. Its national director, Belkys Reyes is a "Miss trainer" who has prepared models like Amelia Vega.

In 2009, the Miss Mundo Dominicana pageant was cancelled due to lack of money and sponsors. While the winner usually went on to represent the Dominican Republic in the Miss World 2009 beauty pageant, due to the cancellation it was decided that Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2009 first runner-up, Ana Rita Contreras Sosa from Bayaguana, Monte Plata, would receive the title of Miss Mundo Dominicana 2009 and represent that country instead.

The candidate would get a vote from the audience and the judges together and would get the winner from the highest vote. The winner would go to Miss World and become First Runner Up.
