Anatomy of a Drum Solo is an instructional DVD by Rush drummer Neil Peart, presenting live and in-studio performances discussing his approach to soloing. Taking "Der Trommler", a drum solo recorded in September 2004 in Frankfurt, Germany as a framework, Peart presents the concepts and technique behind each segment of this nine-minute drum solo, which is a feature of each Rush live performance.
Rush was a Canadian rock band made up of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson (guitars), and Neil Peart. Formed in 1968, the band went through several configurations until arriving at its longest and most popular line-up when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey in July 1974, two weeks before the group's first tour of the United States.
Neil Ellwood Peart,, is a Canadian author and retired musician, best known as the drummer and primary lyricist for the rock band Rush. Peart has received numerous awards for his musical performances, including an induction into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1983, making him the youngest person ever so honoured. His drumming has been known for its technical proficiency, and his live performances for their exacting nature and stamina.
Frankfurt is a metropolis and the largest city of the German federal state of Hesse, and its 746,878 (2017) inhabitants make it the fifth-largest city of Germany after Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne. On the River Main, it forms a continuous conurbation with the neighbouring city of Offenbach am Main, and its urban area has a population of 2.3 million. The city is at the centre of the larger Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region, which has a population of 5.5 million and is Germany's second-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr Region. Since the enlargement of the European Union in 2013, the geographic centre of the EU is about 40 km (25 mi) to the east of Frankfurt's central business district. Like France and Franconia, the city is named after the Franks. Frankfurt is the largest city in the Rhine Franconian dialect area.

The Vapor Trails Tour was a concert tour by Canadian rock band Rush in support of their album Vapor Trails. It marked the first tour in nearly five years after the band entered a hiatus due to personal tragedies in drummer Neil Peart's life. The tour kicked off June 28, 2002 at the Meadows Music Center in Hartford, Connecticut and culminated in a three show stint in Brazil, the last night of which was recorded November 23, 2002 at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The recording was released October 2003 as a triple CD and dual DVD entitled Rush in Rio. During this tour Rush played in front of the largest crowds of their career, the largest of which was a capacity of 60,000 in São Paulo. The show at Maracana Stadium represented the second largest attendance for a headlining Rush concert with 40,000 people.
