Angel Eyes is an album by saxophonist Gene Ammons compiling sessions recorded in 1960 and 1962 and released on the Prestige label in 1965. [3]
Allmusic awarded the album 4 stars with its review by Scott Yanow stating, "Music from two different occasions are combined on this CD reissue... The latter set was one of Ammons' final ones before serving a long prison sentence (drug-related), yet his interpretations are full of optimism. Recommended". [1]
