The Jammu &Kashmir National Panthers Party is a socialist and secular state political party in the state of Jammu and Kashmir,India. The party was founded on 23 March 1982 by husband and wife Prof. Bhim Singh and Jay Mala,Its aim is to "demolish corruption,communalism,criminalization,drug menace" and to establish a real democracy through ultimate revolution. Panthers party has maintained power at assembly and the local level for over four decades in its stronghold within the mountainous Udhampur constituency,where in the vicinity 5.9 million tonnes of Jammu and Kashmir lithium reserves,the 7th largest known reserve in the world,with an estimated value of $500 billion,was discovered in February 2023.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University,commonly referred to as SMVD University or SMVDU,is a Government Owned Higher Institution/University located in Katra,Reasi district,Jammu and Kashmir,India. It was founded in 1999,as fully residential and technical university,a Public University recognised by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(B) and is established on more than an 470-acre (190 ha) residential and provides technical education in the field of engineering,architecture,science,management,philosophy and other subjects,with all technical courses recognised by AICTE,University Grants Commission (India),National Board of Accreditation and Council of Architecture.
Jagmohan Malhotra,known by the mononym Jagmohan,was an Indian civil servant and politician. After working with the Indian National Congress,he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1995. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Goa,as the 5th Governor of Jammu and Kashmir,and for three terms as Member of Parliament for New Delhi. In the cabinet,he served as Union Minister for Urban Development and Tourism.

Narinder Nath Vohra,popularly referred as N. N. Vohra,is a retired 1959 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Punjab cadre who was the 12th governor of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. He was the first civilian governor of Jammu and Kashmir in eighteen years after Jagmohan.
Madan Mitra is an Indian politician,actor from West Bengal. Madan Mitra started his career with party Indian National Congress. He held many positions of Indian Youth Congress,the party's youth wing. In 1998,he joined Trinamool Congress party,founded by his colleague Mamata Banerjee,and his movie debut was in the 2023 Bengali film Oh! Lovely. In 2011,he was elected to the legislative assembly and became a state minister. He was arrested for the Sarada Chit Fund conspiracy case and got bail after 22 months.
The 12445 / 12446 Uttar Sampark Kranti Express is a Sampark Kranti SF Express train which connects New Delhi railway station to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station. The train runs daily via Jammu Tawi,Jalandhar Cantonment,Ludhiana,Ambala,Panipat and Udhampur,covering a distance of 655 km at an average speed of 59 kmph. It is the best train from New Delhi to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. There are also Plans from railways to extend this train from Katra to Baramula Srinagar along with jammu mail and rajdhani express.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station is a railway station on the Jammu Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Railway Link in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It mainly serves for the town of Katra where the major hindu divine temple Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is situated which is visited by millions of travellers per month with the help of this station and its frequent special trains connectivity from all over India. The station belongs to the Firozpur division of Northern Railway zone in Jammu and Kashmir.
In the wake of heavy monsoon rain and flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir,the Indian Armed Forces were deployed in increasing numbers starting 2 September 2014 to conduct search,rescue,relief,relocation,humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation missions in Jammu and Kashmir. By 18 September,over 298,514 people were rescued from the various parts of Jammu and Kashmir by the Armed forces. The Jammu and Kashmir floods,the worst in a century according to Omar Abdullah,the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir,paralyzed the state government. Omar Abdullah,responding to public criticism,told the media "I had no government" in the first few days following the floods,as "My secretariat,the police headquarters,the control room,fire services,hospitals,all the infrastructure was underwater." Adding "I had no cell phone and no connectivity. I am now starting to track down ministers and officers." The Jammu and Kashmir floods of 2014 have been blamed on heavy rainfall,about 8 inches (200mm) on 4 September alone,on climate change,unplanned and uncontrolled development,encroachment of river banks,lakes,ponds,and massive loss of wet lands,absence of local government flood forecasting system,and poor governance. The Armed Forces humanitarian assistance mission in response to the floods was named Mission Sahayata (assistances). Northern Command's humanitarian assistance to Civil authorities was named 'Operation Megh Rahat'. The Indian Army,Air Force,and the Navy,committed large resources to the assistance mission including over 30,000 troops,15 engineer task forces,84 Indian Air Force and Army Aviation Corps fixed wing transport aircraft and helicopters,naval commandos and rescue specialists,and Base Hospital,four field hospitals,over 106 medical detachments. "Operation Megh Rahat",ended on 19 September 2014,but "Operation Sadbhavna",the relief and medical assistance support,according to government press release,will continue in "close synergy with the civil administration and the police".

He is a former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. He is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. On 1 March 2015,he assumed the charge of the Minister for Power Development and Housing and Urban Development.

Vaishno Devi Temple,also known as the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple and Vaishno Devi Bhavan,is a Hindu temple located in Katra,Jammu and Kashmir,dedicated to Vaishno Devi,a manifestation of Mahakali,Mahalakshmi,and Mahasarasvati. It is located on the Trikuta mountain at 5,000 feet / 1,500 meters elevation. The Shakti tradition considers it to be a Shakti Pitha. The temple is governed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and has been chaired by the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir since August 1986.
