The Communist Party of India (CPI) is the oldest communist party in India. The CPI was founded in modern-day Kanpur on 26 December 1925.
Bellur Narayanaswamy Srikrishna is an Indian jurist and a retired judge of the Supreme Court of India. From 1993 to 1998,he headed the "Srikrishna Commission" that investigated causes and apportioned blame for the Bombay riots of 1992–93.
