The III Corps is a formation of the Indian Army that was formed during World War I in Mesopotamia during its respective campaign. Prior to the reorganization of the British and Indian forces in Mesopotamia,it was designated as the Tigris Corps.
XV Corps,or 15 Corps,also known as Chinar Corps,is a Corps of the Indian Army which is presently located in Srinagar and responsible for military operations in the Kashmir Valley. It has participated in all military conflicts with Pakistan and China till date. Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai is its current Corps Commander since 14 June 2023 taking over from Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is a statutory body under the ownership of the Ministry of Defence of the Government of India. BRO develops and maintains road networks in India's border areas and friendly neighboring countries. This includes infrastructure operations in 19 states and three union territories and neighboring countries such as Afghanistan,Bhutan,Myanmar,Tajikistan and Sri Lanka. By 2022,BRO had constructed over 55,000 kilometres (34,000 mi) of roads,over 450 permanent bridges with a total length of over 44,000 metres (27 mi) length and 19 airfields in strategic locations. BRO is also tasked with maintaining this infrastructure including operations such as snow clearance.
Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw,also known as Sam Bahadur,was the chief of the army staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971,and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. His active military career spanned four decades,beginning with service in World War II.
The Kumaon Regiment is one of the oldest infantry regiments of the Indian Army. General Joginder Jaswant Singh,PVSM,AVSM,VSM,ADC is an Indian politician and former Army Chief. He was the 21st Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army. He was appointed on 27 November 2004,and took over the role when his predecessor,General N C Vij,retired on 31 January 2005. He was succeeded by General Deepak Kapoor. He served as the COAS from 31 January 2005,to 30 September 2007.
Lieutenant General Jack Farj RafaelJacob was a general officer in the Indian Army. He was best known for the role he played in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. Jacob,then a major general,served as the chief of staff of the Indian Army's Eastern Command. During his 36-year long career in the army,Jacob fought in World War II and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. He later served as the governor of the Indian states of Goa and Punjab.

General Bipin Rawat was an Indian military officer who was a four-star general of the Indian Army. He served as the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Indian Armed Forces from January 2020 until his death in a helicopter crash in December 2021. Prior to taking over as the CDS,he served as the 57th Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Indian Armed Forces as well as 26th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army.

Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh was a Deputy Chief Staff of the Indian Army from 2014 to 2016. Currently,he is the 8th Governor of Uttarakhand since 2021. Singh retired on 31 January 2016 after nearly four decades in the army,where he was deputy chief of Army Staff,and adjutant general and corps commander of strategic XV Corps that overlooks the Line of Control in Kashmir.
