Infrastructure

Asalpha is connected by BEST bus routes to Ghatkopar railway station. (340, 334, 421, 429, 325) Andheri railway station (340, 334, 410) Kurla railway station (325), and Chandivali (421), as well as Oshiwara (444), Borivali (226 Ltd, 470 Ltd) and Mahim (321 Ltd). Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro passes through Asalfa. [3] The construction of Jagruti Nagar and Asalpha stations [7] [8] in this locality has led to rapid development of infrastructure in and around Asalfa.

Many hospitals are present in the area, including Vivek Diagnostic Centre, Abhishek Hospital, Pooja Hospital and Sona Hospital. One of the known schools in Asalpha is AIES High School (All India Education Society High School), HBVM (Hindi Bal Vidhya Mandir High School) and Theresa High School which has been providing affordable education to the community for the past 3 decades. It is covered by many slum areas and there only some of buildings, Govind Nagar and Himalaya society were the first society in Asalpha.[ citation needed ]

The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit (MRT) system serving the city of Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India. The system is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city, and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It is being built in three phases over a 15-year period, with overall completion expected in October 2026. When completed, the core system will comprise fourteen high-capacity metro railway lines and one metrolite line, spanning a total of 356.972 kilometres (221.812 mi), and serviced by 286 stations.

Line 1 (Mumbai Metro)

The Blue Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro, or the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Line, is part of the metro system for the city of Mumbai, India. The 11.40 km line is fully elevated, and consists of 12 stations from Versova to Ghatkopar. The line connects the eastern and western suburbs of Mumbai. It was built at an estimated cost of 4,321 crore (US$570 million) and is operated by the Metro One Operation Pvt Ltd (MOOPL) on a 5-year contract. This special purpose vehicle, namely, Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) was incorporated for the implementation of the project. Reliance Infrastructure holds 69% of the equity share capital of MMOPL, while MMRDA holds 26% and remaining 5% is held by RATP Dev Transdev Asia.

Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Vidhan Sabha constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India.

Andheri is a passenger rail station located at Andheri suburb of Mumbai. It serves the Western line and Harbour lines of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is also a stop for some express trains and August Kranti Rajdhani Express. The station also inter-connects the Line 1 of the Andheri metro station. Andheri station first came under prominence after the development of Salsette–Trombay Railway services in 1928 by the British Empire of India during the pre-independence period.
